That thing with Norton is exactly what happened with Grandad's crap computer!

Good luck with the Boone fic - I just got my fix-it post up now, I saved Libby. Thinking about something with Desmond and Sayid for the one for the last two seasons (one that's been on my to-do list for about 6 months!)
