Yes, it reminds me of the vampires in Anne Rice's books, and how they love their mortal companion so much they turn them into a vampire too, so that they don't have to see them grow old and die. I imagine it was a similar situation with Richard and Jacob. :D
Well, indeed. It would seem very pointless if that's all we see of Jacob. It's be like building up the four-toed statue, then never revealing it's face.
Lostpedia is fantastic. I spent WAY too much time on the forums there. Yes, they did go and make it all complicated ... but then, when hasn't time travel been complicated. ;)
