Well wait, I'd actually agree with your friend if we're talking about 30+ years ago. ;) A bunch of my favorite movies are Italian movies, granted that they were shot before the nineties. But even then we were okay. It's just that the last ten years I've seen one decent Italian movie on... fifteen which I tried, so. XD Also The Bicycle Thief is amazing.
