RE - Sherlock Series Two - Totally agree about the weird ending for episode one. The whole point is Irene Adler beat Sherlock! And it was only when he realised she'd beaten him, that he showed any interest in her at all. It was not a sexual thing and why would it have been, given she was gay? Still I really liked her, also new appreciation for Molly, and if you quint really hard I got to enjoy my personal slash shipping for this fandom; Mystrade. :P I thought Hounds was better than the first one, Reichenbach was amazing, it actually hurt. XD Given the ending was a foregone conclusion, it's impressive they made it agonising. So clever, to change the 'fall' in a sense to a character assassination, as in the books "my career had in any case, reached a crisis". I sat shrieking at the screen during the revelation Mycroft had fed all info on Sherlock to Moriarty, 'Noooooooooo Mark, why???!" XD But I'm about a million percent certain that was a double bluff, and a big clue as to how Sherlock faked his death. :P Poor John, I don't want to wait two years to see Sherlock return and John presumably punch him in the face...again. ;-)
