I agree with you completely. Some have stated that once Jack and Kate resolve their personal demons, they could reconcile and live happily ever after. I have this horrifying suspicion this is what Cuse and Lindehof intend. But I feel that this would be wrong. I think that the reason Jack and Kate have been attracted to each other, was due to their individual illusions about the other. If both of them DO resolve their personal demons, I believe they should realize that they were wrong for each other. For me, it is simply not their flaws that make them wrong for each other. Even if they were the most together couple in the world . . . I'm sorry, but I don't see the magic. A future with Jack and Kate together spells a future filled with a lot silence. In fact, I feel the same about Jack and Juliet.
