Oh, unf. Redemption stories and gunslingers and westerns, and it's both dark and hopeful. I really like AU's where the characters still feel very much like themselves, and this felt spot-on, with fascinating variations, and the relationship between Dean and Cas develops pungently. They made my heart ache.

Also your Alastair is incredibly creepy.
