late birthdays + random shit + meme + oh dear my titles are so witty, aren't they.

1. So, I was supposed to have a final tomorrow, but after much cramming and realizing that out of two critic books I had finished one without understanding it and couldn't finish the second and still didn't understand what I read of it, I decided I'm just giving it in September and who gives a damn. Tomorrow I'll go to hear what they ask and how much time they keep you in so I have an idea of how it works. No sense in trying it half-assed especially when it's worth double the amount of credits of the usual exam and I can't afford a so-so grade. And to be honest, this entire session my head just wasn't there for most of the time except for that one exam I did last week. Which I actually liked, so. :/

2. But, while cramming and getting sucked into the goddamned ASOIF books (aaah I need to read the fourth!), I missed a shitload of birthdays.

So.

Happy late birthday [livejournal.com profile] gemjam, [livejournal.com profile] speak_me_fair, [livejournal.com profile] glassyskies and [livejournal.com profile] gehirnstuerm! :D I hope you all had an amazing day and that your year goes amazingly. If any of you wants to prompt me I'll see what I can do. :)

3. So I ordered shirts online, among other things. One is a Dark Tower one which is just gorgeous, and the other is that infamous some hunters marry their angels one. And I have to share because they're just too lovely.

The Dark Tower one. I love it. I LOVE IT. It feels affirming to wear it okay.

Aaand, the Dean/Cas one. XD

4. Since there's been some friending here lately and I've seen it going around, I'm jumping on the self-meme wagon. I'll do that instead of an introduction post. ;)

1. I tend to feel more comfortable talking to people older than I am. Meaning, if I can have a conversation with someone my age or with someone older than thirty (in RL) I'll probably have a long and meaningful conversation with the thirty-year old and a sucky one with the person my age. And I've been doing that since I was seven or so. At some point in elementary school I liked talking to my teacher better than talking to half of the people in class with me because I wanted to talk books and none of my friends was much interested in what I read. It's not exactly this great though, since it means that I seem like an hermit when I'm not.

2. When I was six, I wanted to be an opera singer. I still regret not having the right voice to sing anything, let alone opera. I still know my couple of operas by heart though.

3. I'm named after a character in the Aeneid. It was on purpose. I like the name fine. What I don't like is that she was the only girl in that poem who didn't have a single line.

4. I've been writing random stuff since I was ten or something - though back then I just made shit up. The only one I can remember was I think a first person POV of a serial killer. I remember my mom saying it was good. Yeah, I don't know either. Anyway I don't even have that stuff anymore I think. I had also written a vampire love story or something, though my vampire didn't sparkle.

5. When I was in high school I always volunteered to count votes during students elections because everyone else found it boring but it meant that you skipped an entire morning of classes. I also kind of liked doing it for real.

6. I hate Facebook. A whole lot. I never use it because it makes me feel like a creeper whenever I see pictures of people I don't know on my friends' posts, I also never use it because it bugs me that nowadays in order to talk to people you have to use FB instead of like, y'know, calling. Which I guess is very stupid since not using FB means not talking to people, but it just bugs me. Also it's a total time eater and I can't justify myself the amount of procrastination I do whenever I'm on there. Also I generally dislike the idea of people looking me up with my real name. :/ If I didn't need it for some people I'd have deleted it ages ago.

7. I never read Harry Potter. And I don't intend to. I tend not to talk about it generally because most of my friends in RL/here like it and I'm of the idea that if you don't have anything good to say and you know people who like it, then just don't talk about it. But it just sort of irks me that whenever I say that I haven't read it/that I don't really want to because I'm absolutely not interested in a kid who wants to be a wizard, and everyone looks at me like I'm an alien. And since it's a secret... I sort of can't wait for the last movie to be out so that I don't have to go through they hype every-single-time that a book/movie comes out. Sorry. I know you all love it. I know that people grew up with it. But when you don't care for it, hearing about it every-second for... *counts* about fourteen years can get tiresome.

There. I said it. Please don't defriend me for that. XD

8. I like going to the dentist's. I don't even know why, but... I like it. I don't feel particularly bad whenever I go there and idk might have been that I actually liked my old dentist as a person but I never had any kind of dentist phobia. And I don't feel much pain whenever I go either.

9. This man was my first crush. Don't look at the picture which is current - fifteen years ago he was way cuter. And I was seven and I was smitten. XD Also I used to watch his dad's program (in which he worked, that was where I got the crush) religiously. It was where I got 80% of my popular scientific culture notions. Also I wanted to be a paleontologist for a period of time after reading a book of his and his dad's about the origins of man, but then I realized that human bones send me into hyperventilation. Also that Superquark program they mention was awesome. It's sad that they air it during the summer now. :/

10. I'm running out of ideas.

Oh, okay. Since I started watching Supernatural, Sam and/or Dean have never been my favorite character. It was John first and Ash later, and then obviously Cas. S3, which is the one where I was wanting to like Dean better but Sam was actually using his brain more, is my least favorite. Errr. (Not that I don't like it - I loved some eps but in general it was too uneven and the bad eps were... well, bad. And I wasn't as invested as I am.) Which is why I don't like that they kill supporting characters like flies - I usually like them better than the major ones. Cas excluded, but Cas wasn't major until S5 and in S4 he definitely became my favorite. Not that I don't love Sam and Dean. XD

There, done.

5. I guess I'll go beating myself over screwing with my studying plans now. I usually just try for the sake of it but this round I just couldn't. :/ And tomorrow I shall do productive things. Like maybe buying train tickets to Udine, shall I.

Okay, I love both shirts, but the second one, oh, the second one! &hearts

I had also written a vampire love story or something, though my vampire didn't sparkle.

Which proves that, even at age ten, you were a much better writer than Stephenie what's-her-face. ;)

#3 - I was really hoping that your parents had named you out of the Aeneid . . . and not from the H.P. Lovecraft story, because that character was crazy. XD

#6 & #7 - You are officially my hero. 100% agreement on both points! :D

#10 - Wow, that's a BIG one! O_o But yeah, I can understand that -- the boys get on my nerves sometimes, too.

I love those t-shirts! :D

6. Facebook is possibly the most annoying thing I've ever been involved in. I hate it, but I also have to use it for a couple of reasons (mainly a few friends who moved.)

7. I read them all, but in the beginning, it was fainly because the books were written where I live, and it my younger self, nothing interesting ever happened here (not much interesting happens here now.) I've never minded when people haven't read them, though.

9. http://photo.goodreads.com/authors/1302384888p5/876727.jpg That closer to what he looked like? If so, I can definitely see the attraction.

10. I agree. I like Sam and Dean, but sometimes I just was Bobby to bang their heads together. I liked pretty much every character who died (even Ruby, Bela an Jo), but especially Gabriel and Andy. And Castiel, of course. :)

OH MY GOD YOU BOUGHT THE SOME HUNTERS MARRY THEIR ANGELS SHIRT? I LOVE YOU. I came so close to ordering that when I saw but then I was all like, "well, I guess I don't need it." NOW I NEED IT TOOOOOO. :D

I obviously loved the first three seasons of SPN but I was never really invested in it until Cas showed up either. Everything up until then was shiny happy fun times, after he came in I started to care. And it led to so much angst. So much happy, too, but SO MUCH ANGST. ;D

#8, about the dentists: what is wrong with you? ;D You must tell me how you do it, because I hate going to the dentist.

I've never read Harry Potter either and I doubt I ever will. So far, I've never seen any of the movies either, but I kind want to. I mean, they look sort of fun but I kind of have the feeling it won't live up to the hype. Because the hype is crazy. :\

I had also written a vampire love story or something, though my vampire didn't sparkle.
I LOVE YOU WITH EVERY FIBER OF MY BEING.

(Also, just FYI, while I'm here: that Sam/Balthazar + Dean/Cas fic I started for you is coming, but I've had to put it on hold to finish my vacationthon fic, since it's almost due. But I swear, I will finish when I'm done with all that. And you should probably also know it's going to be cracky as hell. :D)

10. So, I suppose you know about the casting situation re: Misha for S7? How do you feel about that? I am kind of apprehensive myself, because I did love the show before he arrived, but Castiel has become pretty much my favorite character by now.

8. Ugh, how can you like going to the dentist?! I don't have a phobia, but I do definitely dislike it.

7. Well, I'm sick of the HP hype and am also glad the movies are done, although I'm a fan of the books and have seen all the films.

6. FB works for me to keep in touch with those people I wouldn't call on the phone - because I hate talking on the phone and only ever do it with 2 people - my dad and a friend who won't use the internet to communicate. I'm friended with some of Mr. Z's family ad some CA friends, and it helps us keep abreast of what's going on in each other's lives. I don't understand how people can spend a lot of time on FB though. I spend maybe 10 minutes a day, which seems plenty sufficient to me.

Cool t-shirts!

Dude, people aren't into stuff sometimes. No need to apologize. I would clarify that Harry Potter isn't about him wanting to be a wizard (it's actually a really messed up story about friendship and death), but I ain't gonna pressure you. If you're ever interested, you are. Otherwise, chillaxing.

People pressuring people always saddens me. Oh well.

I always liked talking to older people too! Like teachers and stuff, mostly because I read a lot and kids my own age made so much fun of me, why would I want to talk to them?

Haha, me too! :D

#7: I love Harry Potter, but I get what you mean. You're just not into it and that's totally ok. No worries, nobody but a total douchebag is going to defriend you for not liking a book-series :)
