1. First thing goes first: GASLIGHT ANTHEM ARE IMMENSE. Seriously I so don't regret the Milan trip - it was *amazing* and I got first row and they're as awesome as I thought they'd be AND THEY PLAYED FILM NOIR DSFKDSHFKSH I CAN'T COMPREHEND HOW AWESOME THAT CONCERT WAS. Not to mention the Wolverine action figures on the speakers - nerds, NERDS! - and the incense going on so that it'd cover the fake-smoke-they-always-use-in-concert smell. NO SERIOUSLY. ALSO BRIAN FALLON YOU'RE SO CUTE IN PERSON I DIED. HE SMILES ALL THE TIME I CAN'T.

3. GISHWHES killed my soul, but it was awesomecakes. Except, do never, ever do something stupid like reading The Raven to a crow. Or read anything to a crow. Stupid birds. I might post some of the pictures at some point, but ugh seriously it was a lot crazier than last year. I don't dare imagine what Misha is going to cook up next time...

Non TV related and concerts related: Mumford and Sons are coming to Rome in March (SCORE FOR ME - TOTALLY GOING) and Bon Jovi after finally learning that Italy is Not A Place To Be Feared are coming to Milan in June! MORE CONCERTS FOR ME! And less money for me I fear, but you only live once I suppose.

6. I finally settled things re my study plan. Which means I can do my Masters thesis with the professor I want. And I didn't even have to argue with the office (too much). I think the Apocalypse *is* coming after all.

7. The indecent number of spam comments LJ left me this week is mind-boggling. I haven't had that many in ages. :/

8. Aaand that's all there is for the moment. Hopefully I'll have some half-decent concert review up at some point soon, along with other stuff. And I'll manage to update properly.

3. RL-wise, I'm drowning in notes and I have four finals to go out of five. Good news is that the first went good, bad news is that it wasn't the worst one out of the way and that I'll have exactly one free day before the new term starts. 5. Theeen, I need to rec fics that I got for Yuletide/exchanges AND another awesome one I read yesterday, so, have a small rec angle! (That said, NY's resolution: do the rec posts regularly. Let's try..)

You know that I spend half of my time weeping because there's no Jon/Sam around this fandom? WELL. This fic has, not necessarily in this order: spot-on characterizations (seriously, her Sam voice is superb and Jon is totally perfect), lovely prose, scorching hot sex (which imo is made even better by who's topping), awesome execution altogether and it's just so good I could cry. Anyone around here who ships it, go and give it a try because it's awesomecakes and deserves hits.

1. Hiiii. I should have known that going to Paris would have meant spending the four days after being back moping like I rarely moped, but it was totally worth it. I have pictures which will be posted sometimes after I'm done with the three exchange fics I'm wrapping up. But damn if it wasn't so worth it.

That said, everyone who wanted a postcard should have gotten one - I'm saying -should- because for weight-of-my-bag reasons I couldn't bring my laptop and clearly I brought my address book, but I had the genius idea of not putting inside it the piece of paper I had written with the names of the people who wanted one. *facepalm* I think I remembered right enough, but if you wanted one and end up not getting it.. sorry. I owe you another at some point.

3. That stated, last call for Christmas cards! They'll so totally be late, I know that already, but since I know I'll be able to go to my usual store in a couple of days, I'll leave this here again.

Also, I'm so behind on TV it isn't even funny, but at some point after I'm done with the fics referenced in 1, expect a long and ranty post about how gloriously mindfuckingly GOOD was the Boardwalk Empire finale, all of this spiced with a good deal of virtual tears. If anyone wants to discuss in comments after a spoiler warning, I WANT TO DISCUSS IT.

2. So, classes have started which is why I've been scarce. Thankfully this round I actually give a shit about four classes on four rather than one on three, so maybe this semester won't be the complete drag that last semester was. Also none of my current teachers is an idiot, which is definitely a plus. Now I just need to get through a will-be-not-nice session at the university office if they have to bitch about what I need to put on my study plan. Hopefully I won't end up on the newspaper for strangling the employees. (Also, in my university the office supposed to deal with students is now open TWICE each week, three hours each, and none of these is in the afternoon. At times I think I should have done university abroad entirely.)

4. Meanwhile, out of utter curiosity (and because it was short) I went and downloaded/watched New Amsterdam. What's sad: the eight episodes of that show are better than half of the new shows I checked out. *facepalm* It was lovely. And I obviously need to catch up with things either till airing or wrapped up, not things that were canceled without an ending ages ago.

5. I signed up for mini_nanowrimo again, in hopes that during November I manage to finish stuff. Last year it was awesome and being forced to write daily is a good thing, so I'll give it another go. One of these years I'll do the regular Nanowrimo again but it'll be when I'm done with classes forever.

Hi world. <33 sorry for being scarce but I'm currently internet-less at my grandmother's village except for my mom's USB key that gets you on the internet, but I have to go from her computer and I can't stay more than half an hour each day, so I'm not checking the FL. The last bit is making me feel like my back was on fire. The first bit would be good but if I keep this rate I'll run out of books before I leave. The place is, however, more depressing with every passing year. I have enough confirms that I couldn't live in places far from cities. Or in places where there isn't a bookshop.

2. I finished A Dance With Dragons. I'll make a detailed reaction post this evening. I'm still feeling positively mind fucked in the good way. Also my favorite POV was someone that never in a million years I'd have thought could be my favorite POV. That still boggles me more than anything else.

3. I'm caught up with Leverage! The episode with the Van Gogh painting was positively awesome/adorable. The last one aired was imo the crackiest crack that show ever cracked. But it was good fun, nothing to say against that. XD

1. So. Last month my teeth start hurting and I get headaches. I figure it's wisdom teeth and don't go to the dentist's because I had exams. Today I finally managed to go to the dentist's. It was a cavity. Pretty freaking deep. I think he had to yank half of the tooth off though I couldn't swear on that. Note to self: next time, fuck exams and just go. I don't even want to know what he did specifically. Anyway, obviously it means that yesterday I was too out of it to answer comments or anything, so I guess I'll catch up at some point soon. But ouch seriously. At least I don't have a dentist phobia or it'd have been a problem.

3. Books-wise, I started A Dance with Dragons but since I had teeth related headaches I didn't last until page 100 at the first round. I think I'll take it slow or as slow as I can, I don't want to just be DONE and not have any more for the next six years. who am I kidding I also read the last Stephen King one since finally it was out on paperback (confirms my theory that he should do more not-supernatural stuff) and Josh Ritter's first novel (which was lovely but could have been longer). Now I'm also bringing around Year of the Flood because I can't go read ADWD while in line at the post office and it was high time I read that one.

4. TV-wise, I need to catch up with the last two Leverage eps. On the other side, I've been watching Sirens and it's awesome. It makes me ridiculously happy. And Richard Madden is delicious. I'm terribly sad that Brit shows only have six episodes for season though. I don't want it going away in just another two episodes. :(

5. I think it's high time I go through Bon Jovi pics, now that I fixed the problems at point one. Wait for the longest concert review ever or close to that. And now I shall be catching up with comments and edit stuff. And possibly write some of the D/C bigbang fic, if I get around to it.

1. Bon Jovi was glorious. Like, GLORIOUS. (Two words: DRY COUNTY. I still don't compute that.) Post with pics/concert review shall follow shortly, but atm I feel way too crappy for anything that long. Or, I think it's a combination of not-really-sleeping for twelve hours in a train cabin with a seventeen degrees AC and spending another four hours on another train with the same kind of AC while the temperature outside was over thirty and of getting burned while walking around, but since I've been back I've been feeling like crap. And I get random headaches. I'm pretty sure it was the AC, but anyway, I've been writing this whole thing in breaks so I can't go sorting pics and stuff right now. STILL IT WAS SO WORTH IT OMG BON JOVI.

2. Apparently the Dark Tower adaptation isn't happening for now. Or at least, apparently not with the people attached to the project at the moment. And er, I'm totally not sorry about it because there wasn't anything about it which was getting me even remotely excited, from Javier Bardem to the format itself. let's not talk about the Eddie rumors shall we. I'll be here hoping that HBO sees how well Game of Thrones did and picks it up. Or that someone else with better ideas picks it up because either you do it well or I don't need it to happen.

So, while in Udine and after I realized I had seen everything I had to except for museums that were closed, I found myself a park bench and finished A Feast for Crows while waiting for lasamy to get into town. Clearly I managed to burn an arm and half of my neck because it was quite sunny and I should know better, but anyway, I'm done with that one.

5. Okay, I've been doing this entry in chunks for half of this afternoon/evening so I guess I'll cut this here and hope that tomorrow I feel like staring at a screen for more than twenty minutes. Also because I need to inflict some Bon Jovi related gushing. *is still ecstatic*

1. So, I was supposed to have a final tomorrow, but after much cramming and realizing that out of two critic books I had finished one without understanding it and couldn't finish the second and still didn't understand what I read of it, I decided I'm just giving it in September and who gives a damn. Tomorrow I'll go to hear what they ask and how much time they keep you in so I have an idea of how it works. No sense in trying it half-assed especially when it's worth double the amount of credits of the usual exam and I can't afford a so-so grade. And to be honest, this entire session my head just wasn't there for most of the time except for that one exam I did last week. Which I actually liked, so. :/

2. But, while cramming and getting sucked into the goddamned ASOIF books (aaah I need to read the fourth!), I missed a shitload of birthdays.
