1) ... hi. After three weeks in Sicily about which the less said is better (probably I'll elaborate at some point but when I have the force of will) I'm back to the land of regular internet access and bookshops and public transport. And I'll catch up with the lot of you at some point tomorrow, along with actually posting some vacation pics (from more interesting places).

2) Since at some point I totally gave up on checking everything that wasn't notified through e-mail, I'm totally behind with birthdays (ooops). So: happy late birthday switchbladesis, vallie82, halfdutch, flying_colours and scarletsherlock! :) I hope you all had amazing days, that you got some good cake and if not that, at least a good amount of chocolate or some cupcakes or whatever sweets you're most fond of and that your year is absolutely amazing ♥

3) On to birthdays I'm actually *not* late for: best wishes to zelda_zee and tellshannon815! I hope you're getting spoiled right now and what I said in point two applies as well. ;) Happy (not late) birthday again!

4. And now that I'm not late, I shall go to finish unpacking and dividing pics and attempting to catch up with the f-list (or at least I'll attempt to begin doing it). Hopefully I'll be back to full business sooner rather than later. *goes unpacking*

- Very quick post just for two things. First, I have a lot of shit I want to post about (GOT finale, Sopranos, BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN CONCERT and the darned Jus in bello pictures) but case is, my desktop died (not that I hadn't known, it was nine years old and it was just a metter of time) and I can't do huge posts/download too many pics from the netbook because it'll just freeze, so I'll be around more regularly after I replace the old desktop, and then I'm going to do some massive catch up since between that, the concert and finals I haven't managed to be around much.

- BUUT, other point of this entry, happy birthday to gottalovev and blue_fjords! I hope you're having/you had awesome days and that the next year will be amazing for the both of you. May it be filled with great things fandom-wise and since I sadly can't clone the real deal, just assume that I've sent you both a couple of virtual Jaime Lannisters for your own enjoyment. ;) happy birthday again!

1) First: sorry for dropping off the radar and missing a bunch of comments/things but after the con weekend I fell into a pretty much comatose state. I still haven't sorted all my pictures (HOW DID I TAKE 2000 PICTURES SOMEONE PLEASE EXPLAIN ME THAT) and I had to go to class and everything and I managed to check the FL just today. (After one week. It was fun.) Anyway I should be all more or less caught up, and I'll go answer comments and things after I'm done with this post. And this weekend you'll get the con recap posts, if I manage to sort through my pictures.

2) Second: Misha Collins is awesome.

3) Okay, I just had to state that. Third: small tv recap, I won't even use the spoiler tag since I'll be very quick and generic. No vampire porn as I'm three eps behind, but I'm gonna catch up asap.

SPN 7x19 and 7x20: 7x19 was very good and I'm intrigued by how they're dealing with the Bobby situation, even if at this point I'd have preferred if they had just kept him alive in the first place. 7x20 was absolutely delicious and I want Felicia Day back. Please? I loved it! Even if I still can't take the guy playing Dick seriously. Just - he looks like Christian Bale okay, I can't. And I'm still intrigued by the Bobby situation.

GOT 2x05: Brienne, every scene you have is flawless. Especially if it's with Catelyn. Also, is it necessary to have Littlefinger every-fucking-where? Also, Theon, break my heart some more, will you. *grabby hands* *hugs* those were the specifics. As a whole it was a ton better than the previous one. Now next week it's going to be HILARIOUS. Not really, I'll weep.

4) In the midst of my coma-like week, I also saw The Avengers, without any context whatsoever as I haven't seen any superhero movie released since... probably The Dark Knight. Maybe. Whatever, I enjoyed it and I could follow it without much of an issue in spite of just knowing who a few people were in theory (even if I still stand by my opinion that the best superhero movie that will ever be is Batman Returns. There, I had to say it). And that stated... anyone could give me Bruce centered fic recs? (if he's paired with either Tony or Steve or - even better - both it'd be awesome.) *cough* because obviously I went out of the cinema being like 'I want to read Bruce Banner/THE WORLD, DID ANYTHING ELSE HAPPEN'. But from my AO3 forays I realized that there's not much around of my listed ships. Whatever, if it's good I'll take him with anyone really. But that said I'm just glad that now I know what everyone is talking about. xD

5) Aaand now that I got the 'I'M STILL ALIVE' post out of the way I'll go sort out pictures and answer to comments and catch up. Buuut here, I'm gonna leave you with a treat:

2. In RL news: bad side, everyone in the uni's student office should be strangled. (News of the year: you can't even choose the exams that are in the STUDENT'S CHOICE box on the study plan. If I ever meet the thankfully now former ministry of public instruction, I'll make her want to crawl underground. Anyway, it's been solved by technically-not-so-honest methods. Did I ever say I want to be done with Italian bureaucracy?) Good side: tomorrow and the day after I'm going to Milan for opera reasons. Thinking about it makes me momentarily forget the bad side since it's bucket list item #2 to cross. \o/

3. In TV news:

a) Since I can't quit Ringer until Misha does his thing, I caught up on the last two episodes. Non-spoilery response: the more it goes on the more I laugh. Also... sorry, but I've never seen a show with a dumber lead character. There, said it. Also the writers should do research on how heroin withdrawal and genetics work (red hair is RECESSIVE!), but I stopped expecting coherence from that show after episode two.

b) I'm missing the latest H50 episode still but the previous was better than most of this season put together, even if I still don't get Lori's point.

c) Boardwalk Empire is still at the level of: ten minutes of it are better than everything I watch the rest of the week combined. Though it needs more Chalky and Jimmy and Richard making out asap.

d) I'm also watching Hell on Wheels. Which I'm enjoying a lot except when they try to be Deadwood. The pilot pushed more on that aspect which is why I liked half of it and checked out during the second, but the second was already better on that aspect so I'll stick with this from now. I really do like the lead character (and his lovely boots), the black guy he's apparently going to be bffs with and that entire storyline (also the first scene of the pilot was aces). I can't get into Colm Meaney's character because it seems to me like he wants to be Al Swearengen at all costs and.. well, apart from the character being miles from Al's glory, Ian McShane would eat the actor for breakfast. So I check out whenever he monologues to nothing. I still don't know what to make of the lady with the dead husband, but maybe once she actually does something other than running from indians I might appreciate it more. Also the guy playing Alistair in SPN being the sheriff made me cackle with laughter throughout all of episode two (which was a lot better than one). Anyway for now I'm sticking with it - it's not a masterpiece and it's definitely not in the Deadwood league, but when they aren't trying to re-do it it's pretty good and hey, western show on my screen! My western fetish is being fulfilled and if they keep on doing their thing and Colm Meaney stops trying to be Ian McShane I'll be okay. Still, whenever I watch it I curse because three seasons of Deadwood weren't enough for my needs, but I figured it'd happen.

e) About SPN 7x08, since it's obvious that I'm not doing a separate post for it and I won't have time this weekend.. there it goes. By the way: it was probably my least favorite episode of this show in existence, so read at your own risk/amusement/whatever.

4. Also, tomorrow the entire insane gishwishes thing apparently begins. Clearly I'll miss two days because I'm out *eyes Misha and his timing*. But let's see where it goes. Considering how embarrassing it was to ask someone to take a picture of yours truly with the gishwishes sign I think this is going to be shock therapy for my tendency to get embarrassed.

5. I'll probably do Yuletide. As if I needed ANOTHER exchange... but there are some fandoms which are too shiny for me not to do it.

2. So, classes have started which is why I've been scarce. Thankfully this round I actually give a shit about four classes on four rather than one on three, so maybe this semester won't be the complete drag that last semester was. Also none of my current teachers is an idiot, which is definitely a plus. Now I just need to get through a will-be-not-nice session at the university office if they have to bitch about what I need to put on my study plan. Hopefully I won't end up on the newspaper for strangling the employees. (Also, in my university the office supposed to deal with students is now open TWICE each week, three hours each, and none of these is in the afternoon. At times I think I should have done university abroad entirely.)

3. TV talking under the cut! Or well, what TV I've seen that isn't the vampire porn or SPN. Also: the bit about H50 isn't exactly flattering and there's talking of possibly triggering subjects.

4. Meanwhile, out of utter curiosity (and because it was short) I went and downloaded/watched New Amsterdam. What's sad: the eight episodes of that show are better than half of the new shows I checked out. *facepalm* It was lovely. And I obviously need to catch up with things either till airing or wrapped up, not things that were canceled without an ending ages ago.

5. I signed up for mini_nanowrimo again, in hopes that during November I manage to finish stuff. Last year it was awesome and being forced to write daily is a good thing, so I'll give it another go. One of these years I'll do the regular Nanowrimo again but it'll be when I'm done with classes forever.

Hi world. <33 sorry for being scarce but I'm currently internet-less at my grandmother's village except for my mom's USB key that gets you on the internet, but I have to go from her computer and I can't stay more than half an hour each day, so I'm not checking the FL. Actually if there's something you posted that I should see leave me links? I'll catch up eventually, but since I'm not going back home until the 1st, it'll be long.

2. Meanwhile in the last four days I managed to finish two books I had started ages ago and I read another three and a half, I already need detox from all the crappy television my grandparents manage to watch and then I managed to completely burn my back at the seaside even if I was wearing a white shirt. The last bit is making me feel like my back was on fire. The first bit would be good but if I keep this rate I'll run out of books before I leave. The place is, however, more depressing with every passing year. I have enough confirms that I couldn't live in places far from cities. Or in places where there isn't a bookshop.

Aaand tomorrow I'm leaving for a week and going to Turin again (but I love that city and I'll never complain XD). 2. I DID manage to fill one of those porn battle prompts I had eyed! :D Now I just need to finish the other three I have going on. And apparently I eyed a Jon/Ygritte prompt that won't leave me the hell alone. and clearly all the Jon/Sam prompts are show-based, but I'm tempted to cheat and write one anyway. If I do it without too much dialogue and taking the actors into account I should manage to sell it, right? Also apparently this round I'm stalking ASOIAF prompts, what.

3. I also have a bunch of things to actually DO before leaving for a week next Sunday (though I should be still enough around) so maybe I should start DOING them. And work on fic that isn't porn battle prompts.
