six feet under S5 - or damn, did I really finish it?

Well, took me... what, four years, but I -did- manage to finish this show, did I? Or well, I started it in my second year at uni so maybe three but whatever. I'm just being like 'I CAN'T BELIEVE I FINISHED.' Tbh I didn't want it to finish. But. Okay, cut. Also, [livejournal.com profile] missy_useless, don't read this if you don't want to be spoiled to eternity, but I totally thought of you during episode eleven. When you get around to it prepare yourself. ;)

so many spoileeeers. )

Oh jesus I'm done. I'm half-sure that I need to quit catching up with tv for a week at least now. XD sometime later: Justified, Treme and the damned last three seasons of The Wire. Though I'll probably do Justified next if only because it's a) short, b) currently airing, c) I've already seen the pilot (which was good fun) and d) doesn't look particularly heavy. Or not as heavy as those other two.

birthday + six feet under s4 + MISHA!

Or, random huge-ass post of random.

1. Happy birthday to [livejournal.com profile] missy_useless!! ♥ ♥ I hope that you're having the most amazing day/time and that next year is utterly awesome for you. :D and if you want to throw me a prompt I can see if something comes out of it. ;) Meanwhile happy birthday again!

2. So everyone in SPN fandom knows about Misha sending out puzzle pieces because he couldn't send real rhino meat to people, y/y? (That man is crazy.) Well, mine got in yesterday! :D I was so sure that I had screwed something up. Or well, since he/his PA added something like five stamps I had probably gotten the stamps wrong, but whatever, it arrived in spite of the suckiness of the Italian postal service, which makes me very happy indeed. Anyone on my fl on team five as well? *looks around*

3. Aaaand *drum roll* after a year because clearly my uncle screwed up with gifting me dvds, I'm done with Six Feet Under S4! I started S5 as well but before the whole thing becomes a blur in my mind I'll just write down my S4 impressions and S5 will come in a couple of days. Seriously it's taken me such a ridiculous time to finish this..

wherein I ramble about how amazing can SFU get )

4. Quick movie recs post: The King's Speech is an excellent movie and deserves all the awards it gets (and the acting is amazing. Everyone's acting actually. I'm so glad I caught it not dubbed..). I sadly haven't managed to watch any other Oscar nominated movie since none of the others is out here yet. *siiigh* on the other hand, I don't know what were the judges at the Rome Film Festival on when all of them at once decided that Kill Me Please deserved to win, but it was one of the most confusing movies I've ever seen. And not because it was too complex, but because you really don't get what the heck is the point of it. Or at least I haven't. I'm still asking myself what the heck was the point of the whole thing.

5. I don't have pictures of the Adler's Appetite concert I attended with [livejournal.com profile] _izu_ and [livejournal.com profile] marlonob last week (though I will have them, as soon as they're sent over to me), but, for GNR savvy people, I glomped Steven Adler. I might have picture proof of at least hugging him (the glomping wasn't recorded, thankfully). It made me a very happy person.

6. Uhm, sadly this is all for now. And uhm, this was indeed so random.

memes + stuff

1. Holycrap one hour ago there was another earthquake peripheral shake. Fuuuck. Over there it mustn't have been pretty. Not-at-all. *sigh*

2. Tomorrow evening I'm going to my dad's family for the Easter holidays. I'll be back on Monday but I'm bringing the laptop and there will be Internet there if things haven't changed since Christmas so no hiatus.

3. I think I might have fic later or tomorrow morning. Which is good because I really needed to finish some-fucking-thing.

4. Memes! First one, handwriting meme tagged by [livejournal.com profile] jate92:

my handwriting, let me show you it )

5. Icon meme from [livejournal.com profile] hopelessfangirl:

1. Reply to this post, and I will pick six of your icons.
2. Make a post (including the meme info) and talk about the icons I chose.
3. Other people can then comment to you and make their own posts.
4. This will create a never-ending cycle of icon glee.

icons here )

7. I've finished watching S2 of Six Feet Under. And before I forget it: ARZT WAS IN THE FINALE. As a guy dealing with sex addiction. I think I wanted to die from cracking up.

some talking about it, spoilers will happen, skip if you don't give a damn. ;) And also, where the hell was Michael C. Hall all my life? ) I need a SFU icon, in short.

8. All for now, also because this entry already is too long. *waves*

merry Christmas + random stuff

Merry Christmas flist! I hope you had a good day yesterday and have a great one today!

Here, most important things and some for having a laugh:

1) Yesterday evening I'm here checking the e-mail, the uncle #1 is behind me, I'm reading an awesome Jack/Boone ficlet that [livejournal.com profile] toestastegood wrote me which I'll link further down in the post and he says, very innocently, 'What, are you on youporn?" Well, the ficlet was not porn, but since I had been editing exactly that part of my Hohoho assignment until half an hour before...

2) That said, I only lack the title. As usual. 18000 words and no title. *sigh* But I'm posting it later this morning or this afternoon if I manage to steal some time here.

3) Uncle #1 also got me Six Feet Under S2! *is very happy*

4) Uncle #2 gave me a USB pen which is very, very small and stylish and pink. I previously had a normal one which I referred to as Boone, since I had also lost the cap and it seemed like a sign of destiny and it was a pen. This new one is obviously Shannon. Now I'll be copying on there all the Hohoho assignments that I won't manage to read before they kick me out and read them on the laptop. Mine included, I'm so excited (Jack/Boone it is! I'm spoiled!!)!

5) So as I said [livejournal.com profile] toestastegood wrote me the most awesome Jack/Boone ficlet here. I love her. And it. I really seriously do.

6) Okay, I'm off in my usual places trying to find that title. And then edit. And then I hope to be back here. Thankfully I went to bed early last evening while everyone was up until 3 A.M. so I'm the only one awake.

7) Also, I didn't escape the singing. All-the-evening. *sigh* But the rest is definitely good here.

Merry Christmas everyone again! ♥

ETA: re the Hohoho fic, [livejournal.com profile] missy_useless wrote me some Jack/Boone which is something wonderful. Not to mention perfect. I mean, perfect. Seriously. Here it is and I feel so ridiculously spoiled. I can't recommend it highly enough.

And now I'll be downstairs finishing mine and reading the rest since they're kind of kicking me out.

university bureaucracy is stupid. But whatever. Random post as usual.

1. So, after two months of trying, I finally managed to ask for the password to use the internet in the university library (seriously, every time I asked they had some problem or it wasn't the right time). Why the hell does that need to have a password I don't know. Also, there's this flyer around which says that it's 'strongly advised' to ask for a new magnetic card for the library that would also serve as a document, except that I went to ask for it ten times and the only time they hadn't server problems with the computer, I've been told I don't need it. WTF? I mean, why does bureaucracy exist? And why can't people there agree on something?

2. Bruce Springsteen has a new record out in January! *flails and flails and flails*

3. I'm seeing Changeling tomorrow. About time.

4.

32527 / 50000 words. 65% done!

And by the way, you remember that poll about Jack's singing abilities? Well, took me 30000 words to get there but he kind of did. Mmmh, I can make it. Also because I need to get on the Lost Hohoho assignment kind of asap. And my American folk country blues playlist for the occasion is getting kind of too big.

5. Lost, speaking, new S5 promo poster!. OMG, they all look so pretty! Jack, Sayid and Des especially. Oh, so pretty. So really pretty. -licks lips- Sawyer, too, of course.

6. The fact that Six Feet Under doesn't have a fandom and that fic for it can only be found on fanfiction.net is pretty bad. Especially because said fic was bad.

7. I might have a Dean/Castiel fanmix pretty much done. In my head and on paper. And I could get fic out of that, maybe.

8. Next week I hope to start with the Christmas stuff, but since next week is next week, if you'd like something from yours truly (especially if I've asked a card from you since I probably won't able to make them this year), the post is here.

Okay, I guess the random post is over. And that icons has a sense, since Tom actually decided he wanted to show up in the novel. I kinda hadn't planned it but hey, not complaining. He solved me a couple of things.

brief leave of absence + nanowrimo + writing

So it looks like the low fever is there just because of the viral infection that made me get it in the first place. Now the infection is gone but the fever is something like a coda to that, but since I've been told it'll go away in two weeks I'm now behaving as I didn't have it at all. It's not like I felt it in the first place during the last three days. Meanwhile...

25604 / 50000 words. 51% done!

Yay! I was really hoping to get there before this weekend. Reason? My grandmother turns 80 this Friday so I'm leaving tomorrow night for Sicily and coming back on Saturday night. As long as the internet point is still there I should be able to catch up though, so I shouldn't be totally not around. I'm bringing the laptop also for school stuff, but since I need to be able to do research on the spot I'll lay the novel off until Monday and probably write something else at random. I was thinking either Boone/Alex or Boone/Claire, even if the second is barely an idea while for the first I have a plot so maybe I should go with the first. And I'll also probably spend both nights on the train (since I never get to sleep on trains) to plot my Lost Hohoho assignment, which made me absolutely delighted. And that's all I'll say on the subject until December or so I hope ;)

Also, I finished the first season of Six Feet Under and it was brilliant. Thankfully it didn't end with any cliffhangers of sorts and so I can wait to get the second. But I really loved it. And I guess that's all for now and until I get in the hellhole, which won't probably get benefit from the current weather.

my doctor is pretty much an evil genius.

So, I still have that temperature. It's still low but still keeps me stuck and I'm missing too much university really. But anyway. So I go to the doctor's last day and he gives me some pills, except that he doesn't write the dosage and at the pharmacy they give the lowest one on default if there isn't any written. Result? I've been taking pills with a too low dosage of whatever is in there for two days and I feel exactly as I did last day, not to mention the temperature not dropping at all. *sigh* And for productivity and not procrastinating, I remembered that I was given for my birthday the dvds for the first season of Six Feet Under. So I started watching that even if I need everything but another show and I still have stuff to catch up with, but thing is, I'm really liking it this far. And I think I might go watching another one now. Only tangible result of the last two days?

20034 / 50000 words. 40% done!

I'm having an idea that most of this stuff will get heavily edited and if I hadn't slacked off to watch Six Feet Under yesterday maybe I'd have another thousand words but at this rate I might finish it before the end of the month. Which will be good, if it happens.

And in better news, I signed up for the Lost HoHoHo Christmas Exchange at [livejournal.com profile] lostsquee and I'm way excited! I think everyone in my FL has already linked to it but hey, can't do wrong ;)

Okay, now I'll be off. I think I'll see another episode. Maybe two. Damnit. I so don't need another show. Thankfully I only have one season to catch up for now.
