You sound almost guilty for asking, but I think it's an awesome question because it gives other peeps a chance at some creativity! Anyway, let's see... I don't know what time frame in the Lostiverse your story takes place in, but depending on that, somebody could sleep out in the jungle somewhere and get crushed by a Dharma Initiative supply package that was dropped from the sky. I also got an image of somebody climbing a rope or a vine to retrieve something important from the top of a tree, but the rope or vine breaks at a really bad time, when the climber is already way high up. Clearly I'm interested in vertical-oriented tragedy.
