Arrested Development is hilarious. It's not everyone's taste but from what I can tell about your TV/Movie/Book tastes and crack!fic and crack!icons style, you would like it a lot.
Dragon boating is insane and I might be insane to try it again. I am not very athletic and it is exhausting. They always put me in the middle of the boat where I can do the least among of harm.
The Shield is not as good as The Wire. It is more flamboyant but it is still better than 90% of what is on TV. It's final season starts this fall. Deadwood is like Shakespeare in the wild west. You might need subtitles there too until you get a hang of the language.
