I swear Sawyer just evokes so many feelings, like DEEP feelings, I don't know how to put this, but it's like it's easy to think of him feeling as an outsider but then feeling like he really wasn't all that outsiderish..and that if luck had been different, he would have been a different person all together because underneath it all, he's James, not Sawyer.
I hope that made some sense, it's just when Sawyer is written like the way you wrote him here, it just makes me want to respond like that, because I totally appreciate when the layers of the character and the emotions are explored.
