I wrote about Jack and Sawyer playing cards and Shannon and Boone being friends in the afterlife. Great mind thinks alike, right?
Only I'm glad it wasn't Jack Sawyer was having sex with in Catch-22 ;);););)
This was marvelous. I loved the quiet peace of the first one, because it had to be like that between after death, right? It made justice to their poorly resolved storyline. And I also liked the second one. As you know, I'm not the biggest Jack/Sawyer fan in the world, I've always found rather inconsistent that Jack didn't care for Sawyer's life in I DO because he was too jealous to think straight (worse scene of History, btw) and then he would scream at Kate in Left Behind, but play ping pong and hug Sawyer as if he hadn't been at all in that cage. But by expanding that in here, by giving insight into Jack, you have given very powerful meaning into it - into Jack trying to move on, and doing it by reinforcing his friendship with Sawyer. That is a very good way to try and get over the Kate mess, for both of them (even if it's obvious that so many years later, there hasn't been they tiniest of progresses). I loved how you handled that here.
Thanks so much for these two lovely fics! And sorry about the ramble, it happens when you write the triangle ;);) This was truly great! :D:D
