Evidently, the fact that she couldn't have chocolate does indeed explain everything. Also, I wouldn't have let her have it before dinner either, one tends to be full if she eats it BEFORE, but whatever.
If you don't count the big meeting up in the premiere's last season where they were both in the group yes, their first scene together.
