Yeah, fine, I should be studying but I'm a very, very weak person. Whatever. I won't sleep tonight anyway.

Beware: that's a point which is basically 99% Jack appreciation. Which means, I agree to disagree but Jack bashing is not my friend right now. ;) Also, if Ben is your favorite character you might not like it.

Before starting: I finally understood what Locke has in common with the real John Locke: I will never, EVER understand them.

Team WTF island?

1. So did they crash on the Hydra? [livejournal.com profile] lenina20 said it and it didn't occur to me and I was completely confused but if they crashed on the Hydra it makes sense. Also, other survivors? *argh* At least the Cesar guy isn't that bad. Jury's still out on Marshal girl.

2. Uhm.

I've always known Locke was going to be back. No Locke = no Lost and I know it. But... if it turns out he just lands there and resurrects? I'm not cool with it. Well, unless it happened to Christian so now he's practically Christian #2 and until we know what the fuck is up with Christian anyway we won't know what's up with him.

3. Uhm, so Ben, Sun and Sayid crashed with the plane and Jack, Kate and Hurley were conveniently brought on the main island IN ANOTHER TIME by the flash?

LOL, this is so fucking nonsense that I just go with it.

Team what the hell do I have to do with you, John Locke?

4. Dear Writers: having Locke's leg set exactly as Jack set Boone's leg in Do No Harm is-not-funny. It is NOT-FUNNY. Do they hate me? If they need to make references every ten seconds GIVE HIM A FUCKING CAMEO. THANK YOU. (And fuck off meanwhile. ;) )

5. That said... well, Locke isn't fine in my book and sure as hell I'm not okay with him but Terry O' Quinn? Too-fucking-good. Shit, I was seriously feeling for the guy and I mean, the story was half nonsense and I should feel for EVERYONE but Locke and where am I? When he was killing himself I was sort of becoming very, very mellow. Also, is that possible to hang yourself like that? I mean, with a cable? Stuck under a desk or whatever it was? Would it work anyway? *shrug* Also, Helen. Oh God, I was so glad they remembered Helen. Even if of course... *rolls eyes*

6. HI Abaddon! Or better, Cedric Daniels from The Wire! Where's McNulty? Oops, not in time. Anyway, what a pity. I mean, creepy as fuck but he was interesting and of course they kill him before he gives answers.

7. Locke visits the O6:

a) Sayid: LOL. I can't exactly buy him being so happy building schools after what we saw in the Economist and being like 'well, fine, I was a hit man, I spent two miserable years working for Ben, my life kinda sucks and nonetheless I don't want to go back and it's great that I had nine months with Nadia before my penis they murdered her' but... THE SHIRT! THE LOOKS! THE SPANISH! (because Sayid speaking Spanish -> almost as good as the German and the French.) LOL, I was kind of laughing there but seriously. LOL. And Sayid, I love you anyway.

b) Walt: I actually liked it. Even if they don't bring back Walt someway I'll be darn well pissed off. I'm missing him. Really. And Michael too. Who thought I'd ever say that, in S2...

c) Kate: completely OOC, contrived and without a sense. It made even less sense than Sayid.

d) Hurley: well, it was good but nothing we didn't know exactly.

e) Jack: more on that on an apposite point.

8. Also, poor John. Really. I could feel his pain at a certain point, and I'm not the most empathic Locke person.

Team sorry but Ben might be a good villain and Micheal Emerson is awesome but I still do NOT TRUST THE GUY

9. And seriously, the problem is that... I'd actually half-side with Widmore here.

*silence*

No, seriously, I hate Widmore's guts, I hate what he did to Desmond and Penny and I can't stand his face but at least he isn't a psycho and he isn't a creep. He's a complete absolute jerk not to mention a bastard who is also heartless and I'm not ever forgiving him the Keamy torture, the massacre and everything else, but you know what? Since the whole killing off Alex-and-Danielle was because they needed it for Ben's story which is basically what makes me want to headdesk most, that's it. I prefer a sane evil guy who is a jerk and a cruel heartless bastard to Ben (who in my book shares a lot of said adjectives with Widmore WITH the mindfucking adding).

10. Because really. Michael Emerson is an excellent actor. I can enjoy Ben's snark and occasionally the character but I don't like how everything is becoming the Ben show, I can't freaking have empathy or any liking whatsoever for a guy who says he hasn't killed anyone and then is behind a genocide and the freighter exploring just to say two things, I'm sick of his mindfucking, I'm sick of Ben being everywhere, I'm sick of everyone trusting him when it's obvious that he lies/manipulates them just like that, I'm sick of seeing better/more interesting at least for me characters' storylines (*cough* Danielle *cough*) sacrificed because of HIS and really?

That scene with Locke in the end was disgusting. Because I might not give a damn about Locke and I might think every possible horrible thing about the guy especially after the Little Prince deal, but that? Was disgusting. I can't even find another word. Manipulating, cruel, disgusting and twisted and every possible other adjective I can think of. It makes me almost fine with the whole Locke is Jesus Christ thing. I'd say horrible things if I went on and I really don't even want to and I don't have even time for it so I won't but fuck, just no. Does not sit well with me.

Team why I like Jack

11. This'd be me elaborating on 7e. So, my point always was that I like Locke better than Ben and Jack better than Locke. And this episode here just proves my point.

Apart from witnessing the birth of Nirvana!Jack (this wasn't full Nirvana!Jack) and from the whole thing about Jack going LA-Sydney/Sydney-LA being a total canon mistake since in the S3 finale he had told Kate he had done it more than once and it didn't look to me like it was something he had done in the last month, the point is: he's the only one making fucking sense.

Why? Fine, you can say that when Jack refuses to go back and Locke is there pleading him he basically says everyone can fuck off and die for all he cares. Which wouldn't exactly be much nice, but. The problem is, when the hell Jack could ever trust Locke anyway? Who grants him that Locke is telling the truth anyway?

In this episode here he was already growing the beard and probably already half depressed, which as per Something Nice Back Home it isn't because of the island or anything but because he and Kate broke up. Fine. Now, Locke shows up in his hospital telling him he has to go back because otherwise they'd die and it'd be also his fault which, knowing Jack, triggers a lot of delusional things. And apart from White Rabbit, what has Locke done with Jack in four seasons? Lying and mindfucking mostly, or telling him it was his destiny to do something without never explaining himself and on the basis that Locke is special and that he has faith. And well, excuse me but for four seasons Jack was supposed to be the rational one (PROBABILITY. I'd have married him when he said probability) and who is the rational person who buys Locke's destiny crap? Not him and not me either. So, Jack here is rude with Locke and basically tells him he can fuck off and realize that maybe he isn't special. And you know what, I can perfectly see his reasons. Then you can tell me that the whole lying thing doesn't make sense in the first place and that it's obvious that the rescued don't give a damn which seems also true, but in this context? Sorry but I can't see how he could have gone and said 'oh, awesome! Let me shave and I'm coming with you!'. Not to mention that Locke goes and mentions Christian and we all know how Jack reacts when the guy is into the picture.

Then of course Jack is wrong because Locke is special and by telling him what he did tell him he practically sends him into the depression spiral which makes Ben able to mindfuck Locke and everything and so it is his fault. But that isn't my point here. My point is that Jack, to me, makes sense and that's why I'm on team Jack anyway. At least he doesn't mindfuck with me, doesn't lie because the island demands sacrifices and he's coherent.

Well, and this review turned into my Jack appreciation post of the season. Who would have known.

12. And apart from that, MF was acting pretty well here. Or so I thought.

12b. Not to mention that while he was speaking I was purposely reading all the possible subtext I could, but that's me, having a ship which died four seasons ago and my Locke issues.

13. I think I'm forgetting something but I should seriously go having something to eat and then get back on Kant.

13b. Also, Widmore. I KNOW that Jeremy Bentham is an English philosopher. *rolls eyes*
