That said, hoping that I don't repeat myself, Kate is the reason for which I write waaay less J/S than I'd like. I mean, I get the pairing and I love it (ha, I started from Lost fic, not the show, and it was my first pairing so I probably see stuff there which canon wouldn't even consider) but I'm shit at explaining it, but for the ping-pong? I have that one at least. See, Sawyer is always the one who makes the first move. ESPECIALLY when Kate leans towards his angle of the triangle. So Jack is back. Ping pong = peace offer. Sawyer DOES consider Jack his friend, he said it. And about Jack saying yes, since Kate is supposedly with Sawyer and for all I'm concerned in that particular arc he's trying to forget her (not successfully), he goes for the ping pong. Or at least that's how I've always seen it.
That said, that wasn't my strong point in this meta so it's VERY good to hear you found the strong part good. Ha, you should re-watch DEM. It's good! Well, I don't say it because it's my favorite. It's objectively fucking good and IMHO they rarely managed to blend the flashbacks/island/angst/comedy thing so well and with such good writing. But that's me.
Ha, no, Cooper is probably not his dad but in S1 you're supposed to think he is and surely Locke hadn't known he wasn't. Hell, he still doesn't know. ;) ;) But really, great to hear this was a convincing take on Locke because Locke is seriously a hell of a mess to get into and I usually feel like I kind of waste energy over him, but I just loved his story in S1. Until here. That was the downfall. *sigh* And ha, I think that poor Theresa doesn't get much attention but with Boone you take what you get, I can't afford to be picky. ;) And Theresa totally fits everything I think about him anyway. And glad to know it also felt right re Boone's potential because no one ever convinces me that DEM!Boone isn't different from, what the hell, White Rabbit!Boone or Special or whatever. Well, I'd have a hell to meta about Special but it's not the place or time.
And LOL, run off with Mike and Jin! ;) ;) All yours, but lend me Jin for a second or two there!
