janie_tangerine: (lost jack/sawyer)
Okay. Fact is, Jack/Sawyer is a pairing I totally, utterly, absolutely love but I'm never sure of how I should write it. Which is why I don't usually write it. Especially with the absolute lack of interaction in canon right now. But when I saw those prompts they just felt right for it. When I claimed it I sure wasn't thinking to do a series out of all the things I could have done, but thing is, the plot came and I even have most of it figured it out, so I guess I can give it a try. I kept on postponing, then that amnesia prompt on [livejournal.com profile] lostsquee reminded me that I had claimed it kind of two months ago and so I said heck, let's start it.

Title: There's a Story in Your Voice, part 1/10
Rating: This part, PG. Overall, it should reach at least an R.
Pairing: eventually Jack/Sawyer (not here but soon).
Word counting: 4000
Disclaimer: They're surely not mine (they wouldn't be in separate camps if they were) and the movie of choice here was Hitchcock's.
Spoilers: Up to the S3 finale.
Summary: Sawyer has to deal with a bad case of memory loss and its consequences.
A/N 1: for my [livejournal.com profile] 10_quotes claim. The quote for this one is the following: "How's your leg?" - "Hurts a little." - "Your stomach?" - "Empty as a football." - "And your love life?" - "Not too active." - "Anything else bothering you?" - "Uh-huh, who are you?", from Rear Window.
A/N 2: this is an AU. In this one, Naomi didn't land on the island during Catch 22, Desmond and Charlie never went down to the Looking Glass and while the trip to the radio tower still happened, they didn't block the signal and Locke never killed Naomi. So Charlie is very much alive and kicking here and the freighter people don't exist. Submitting for the Amnesia prompt at day 2 of the hiatus challenge at [livejournal.com profile] lostsquee. Title stolen from an Elvis Costello song. And I actually did a kinda research on the amnesia topic, but much of this is also from my personal knowledge, which means I could have got more than one thing wrong. In the case, please tell me.

He raised his eyes, meeting Sayid’s for a second. He wanted to say something, anything, but suddenly Sayid’s eyes weren’t there anymore, everything was spinning again and way too fast for his liking, his head felt so heavy and so light at the same time, then the world stopped spinning and it was just a deep, pitch black. )
