quick post with birthdays and stuff
Jun. 20th, 2009 03:25 pm1. First, I hope I'm on time and that I didn't miss stuff, but happy birthday
ladymacbeth77 and
carrielynne2323! Sorry that I have no banners but I hadn't expected to be out of town :// I hope you both have a great day and an even more awesome year in front of you! ♥
2. I forgot last time, but I have two Dreamwidth codes. Anyone wants? First come first served. ;) And if you're on there and I haven't added you for some reason tell me, I'm janie_tangerine as usual.
3. So, yesterday while on the train (which was one hour late of course, but whatever) I read Nick Hornby's Shakespeare Wrote For Money and it's awesome. I mean, it's all book recs, but it's such fun, and of course now I have at least another fifteen books that he recced which I'd love to read. Also because the guy's tastes are frighteningly close to mine *cough* even if I was pretty bummed that he didn't appreciate Orwell's essays as much as I did. Not that it stopped him from buying Tropic of Cancer as I did because George talked wonders about it. ;) [also, I never had it in a rec post, but I did finish it and it's some great stuff. Tropic Of Cancer, I mean.]
4. Apart from that, the ride was decent, stuff is not crazier than usual, I bought myself some new clothes at the street market down here, I still wasn't subjected to the singing and someone has to explain me why is it that my Velvet Revolver obsession is back in full force.
5. My PM is making me become a moralist, at least concerning him. When did that happen? :/
6. Anyway, all for now. Not the most interesting post in the history of ever and I'm sure I'm forgetting something, but anyway. *waves* I hope everyone is having a great weekend!
