And, for some reason, after freaking out for exactly one minute, he realizes he’s perfectly okay with it. I love this line. He's so zen and so cool. I love that the fandom's personal fanon about Boone being the king of cool in the afterlife actually turns out to be canon! It's great.
Maybe because he always wanted, back then, to do something for her, to make her happy, and this time, he thinks he actually can. Boone is such a sweetheart and this line made me smile. You have such a good grasp on his character.
Also, it feels like being in the fucking A-Team in which it was destiny he couldn’t be. ♥ Boooooone! Desmond, Hurley and Boone would be the loveliest A Team ever. Their group missions would be laid-back and chaotic.
And, ahhh, you killed me in the hugging scene, with the closure between Boone and Locke. Just thinking back to the hug between Jack and Boone is making my throat feel all tight! I thought of you during that Boone/Jack hug on the show and I just knew you'd fic it beautifully - and, god, you did. This fic is perfect. You are so wonderful and talented.
