I think that it's a sign that the whole 2012 apocalypse thing might happen after all. (Also along with some stuff I'm thinking about politics. Mostly because if you told me two years ago I'd have had a couple of opinions I'm having lately, I'd have punched you.)
Lol! I think I have a film academic friend who would politely disagree with you, though granted all her favourite Italian movies are from like, 30+ years ago. ;P And the only ones I ever remember off the top of my head are The Bicycle Thief and that really, really, really gross one about facism that got banned everywhere under the sun.
And word on the political thing -- we're about to have an election where I live, and I'm starting to seriously consider voting for the incumbent, which if you'd asked me even months ago I would have sworn I never would. ;D
