Well wait, I'd actually agree with your friend if we're talking about 30+ years ago. ;) A bunch of my favorite movies are Italian movies, granted that they were shot before the nineties. But even then we were okay. It's just that the last ten years I've seen one decent Italian movie on... fifteen which I tried, so. XD Also The Bicycle Thief is amazing.
Lol I'm at the point when in comparison to my PM one guy who used to be in the goddamn remains of the fascist party who now is apparently liberal and likes immigrants and has actually left the PM's coalition is actually good. If you told me I'd have said it two years ago I'd have cried. :(
