I think it'd have been my least favorite too if it wasn't for the fact that I liked all the main characters having a POV except for Cersei. But yes, the one-shot POVs and the titles without names etc. were too confusing for me. :/
I don't know how much of that will be, but I read the foreword of ADWD and he said that after some point (middle? 3/4? Can't remember) he started bringing back POVs from the other book so he -has- gone forward some with the story other than catching up with the people who weren't in AFFC. I don't know how much of that book is not-catching-up, but we can hope that at least we know what happened to Arya and Brienne? Because those weren't cliffhangers, they were MEAN cliffhangers.
Fandom-wise I think she's liked well enough but not at crazy levels (generally). The point is that she kind of speaks to me at a personal level because if you don't count the whole using a sword/being a knight thing I had some similar experiences and she's the only character that has appeared until now whom I pretty much could get 100%, so I guess that's why her parts made that book for me.
I know? I didn't skim when Jaime was there and where it seemed like there were plot developments, but boring. Boring. Boring. And too crazy. After four books I doubt I'll ever manage to like her someway.
I cheered when he burned that note, I won't lie. I liked him before because I might have a thing with people with the snarky attitude even if they do horrible things, but right now I'm really loving him. If he keeps on this way I shall be extremely pleased.
I do think that! :D Mostly, after Bran and Rickon, I don't buy any offscreen/offpage death until I actually see it. And tall, lame, likes dogs... mmh. I'll stick with it. ;)
Dorne was awesome! :D I like their women. And I liked Oberyn so much! And I like his attitude with his daughters. If only everyone else in those books was like him.
I know. I went around three days with the paperback for ASOS in my purse and while it wasn't that heavy, it was as big as a hardback. And AFFC, while smaller, was pretty heavy too. Those books are insanely heavy. But I guess they do work well for plane rides. :)
