Oh, wow, I actually think you're right and it does say in the books that he tried to escape more than once (mostly at the beginning of his capture). Besides, the Kyra stuff was way later on, it didn't happen this early. So they might still do the Kyra scenes in one of the later episodes.

"I just hatehatehate the idea that Theon actually trusts him (even for like ten minutes or how long it is) and THEN HE GETS FUCKED ALL OVER AGAIN I CAN'TTTT." <-- Ugh, THIS! I forgot to add this last time. Just imagine trusting the only person who seems to be on your side in this fucked up situation and then finding out it was actually THAT PERSON who ORDERED your torture and was responsible for it and then tortures you with their own hands! ;___; God, I can already see myself crying because of this when it happens on the show. ;__;
But on the other hand, it actually makes Ramsay into an even bigger sadistic psycho (if that was possible), at least for the TV audience. Because honestly, what kind of a person is fucked up enough to make a person trust them and to give hope to a person, only to fuck them over and take that all away by revealing yourself as the cause for that person's suffering in the first place and then inflicting even more pain on them?! It makes me sick just thinking about it. :S

Well, not ALL of them are the same breed, but some definitely are. I've seen it with my own eyes. Yes, exactly! I'm perfectly fine with people hating characters for legitimate reasons. To be honest, there are very few characters in this series that are completely irredeemable and fucked up, and those are the only characters I can't sympathise with or I hate (like Joffrey, Ramsay, The Mountain...) While I dislike some other characters as well (Tywin and Cersei, for example), I can still understand where they're coming from. Besides, if you hated every character that ever did something bad, you wouldn't have many candidates for you to like in this series, anyway. Seriously, name one characters that has been completely "good". I think Ned Stark and Barristan Selmy come the closest to being the most moral characters, but even they have done some "bad" things. What also bothers me (and you kinda pointed this out already) is that when one character does something morally questionable, they hate on him, but when another one does it, it's fine (they even make up excuses). Double standards much?!
This kind of applies to people who hate Jaime too. I think some people will never move past the fact that he threw Bran out the window and attacked Ned. I'm not saying those things should just be forgotten/erased, all I'm saying is that try to understand his reasoning and acknowledge the fact that he has also done good/unselfish things. The good doesn't erase the bad, but neither does the bad erase the good, so people need to stop acting like it does.

Well, I just spoke to my mom on the phone (she just finished watching the episode) and she said to me, distraught "oh my god, why are they torturing Theon?!" I stopped myself from saying "Told you so". A while ago, I also told her that there is a character she will probably hate even more than Joffrey that appears in season 3 and today she asked "Where is the evil character you said was even worse than Joffrey?" But I decided not to tell her who he was, so I just said that he was briefly shown in this episode, but that he hasn't been revealed as "evil" yet. I just told her to wait an episode or two and she'll see. I want her to be shocked by the reveal of Ramsay.

Oh, I just remembered something else. A while ago, I sent you a message via tumblr after seeing you post something about Theon being raped, but you never replied. I'm not sure if that was because tumblr didn't deliver my message (it's been known to happen to me), or because you just didn't want to talk about it. Either way, I asked what made you think Ramsay also raped Theon, in addition to torturing him. I said that there was a line in the book that made me pause a bit and consider this option as well, but then later on, I dismissed it, because I got the feeling that Ramsay only raped women. So I wanted to hear your thoughts on this.
