Though I think there are a couple of mistakes - I may be completely wrong (I'm not English. Actually, I think we are both Italian - but never mind), but I think "knittened" isn't a word (it should be knit or knitted) and instead of "resigned" you meant "defeated", "disheartened" or something like that. And wasn't the name of Wyatt Earp's rival Doc Holliday (and not Halliday)? Sorry for my nitpicking, I know I'm fussy... please don't take this as a critique, I'm just trying to help. yes, maybe I should leave that to native speakers but... I happened here first ;)
