Okay, you've pretty much summarized all of my issues with this episode. Agreed that Kate should just disappear somewhere. She just irked me for the last three episodes I've seen her and the one before.... mh, no, I won't even get started.

Naveen is SO damned good. I even forgot he got temporarily lost between Shannon's legs (tm Laura) in his quest for Nadia. This is why Ben and Widmore crap is starting to annoy me. I don't want Sayid and co. to be mere pawns in their idiotic SO TOTALLY NOT WORTH IT game. I love Sayid and the people whom I'm already invested in, let them have their own story.
