Tagged by [livejournal.com profile] 6degreesoflea. I think by now my Fl probably knows more about me than my parents do with all list random facts meme! I'll try to find something new though ;)

a. list seven habits/quirks/facts about yourself
b. tag seven people to do the same
c. do not tag the person who tagged you or say that you tag "whoever wants to do it"

1. I wear a D34 cup and I hate that. Whenever I hear some friend of mine complaining that she'd want surgery to have bigger breasts (and I have heard it more than once) I feel like smacking them. It's a boredom and a pain most of the time and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

2. Dubbing makes me sick. Especially because here they dub everything and I'm lucky to live in a city where there is one cinema showing movies in original language, but I really hate that. I think it ruins the acting and I can't see how subtitles can be confusing. I never had a problem watching a subtitled movie and I think it just requires a bit of an effort that is gone after you watched three movies.

3. The craziest thing regarding point 2 I ever did was going, when I was in Paris, to a Kurosawa movie which was in Japanese with French subtitles and my French was even worse than it is now. And even if I didn't understand half of what they said (and of course I don't know a word of Japanese) I enjoyed the movie immensely and had no problem getting what was going on. Talk about masters.

4. My musical tastes are at the same time quite widespread and absolutely closed. In the sense, I'll listen to a lot of genres and artists, but I don't like to go out of the box with completely different genres. I mean, I listen to rock, blues, some jazz, classical, opera and I can like pop music if it's good/old/without too many pretenses, but for anything which isn't that, I can't listen to it. Dance and pop music made by seventeen year old girls especially. Let's say that if there's some electronic instrument in it and it's not played by people in flesh and bones I won't like it.

5. I never smoked a cigarette in my whole life.

6. I don't like alcoholic beverages. It's not like I've got something against them, I just don't like them. I usually can get one small beer if I'm so inclined but I can do without. I don't like wine and I got drunk just one time because I mistook vodka for water. Yes, I'm THAT uninteresting. I don't even get drunk on Saturday night ;)

7. I can't cook. I totally fail at it and the thing is that whenever I want to try it with friends they always stop me before I can even get started and I have to say that sometimes the lack of trust kinda hurts me ;) not like I'm ever interested in learning but when I cook for myself I usually want to throw up. I don't know why but it's one of the few things that can make me kind of depressed.

List seven songs you are into right now. No matter what the genre, whether they have words, or even if they're not any good, but they must be songs you're really enjoying now, shaping your spring. Post these instructions in your LJ along with your 7 songs. Then tag 7 other people to see what they're listening.

1 You're Still Standing There by Steve Earle -> gah. I love it. I just love it.
2 Devil's Arcade by Bruce Springsteen -> because Bruce > everyone.
3 Postcards From the Wasteland by Bon Jovi -> it's a demo but I'd smack them. It's better than half of what was on the record it didn't make to. And I love the lyrics.
4 Dies Irae from Mozart's Requiem -> It's actually a movement from the Requiem but erm, yeah, I'm obsessed with it. Don't ask me why. It's just so good.
5 Home is Anywhere You Hang Your Head by Elvis Costello -> gah. I love it. I just love it. And I love the title.
6 Don't Look Back in Anger by Oasis -> well, I'm not that great Oasis fan but thing is, I don't like Liam and I ♥ Noel. He sings better and he writes better so I still don't get why he doesn't go solo. Anyway, I was hoping to use this as fic inspiration but isn't working, though it remained stuck in my head.
7 Sparkle and Shine by Steve Earle -> I should probably upload the whole album where this is because it's just so good. And this song makes me melt.

Whoever wants to do it, do it! ;)

In other words, military is confuuusing. I've been spending half an hour on military rankings and my head hurts. Researching for fic hurts. Kind of. But if things go as I plan it'll so be worth that. But military is confusing nonetheless. Why do they need three different kinds of privates? *shrugs*

And in other news yesterday I finally bought the DVDs for Lost Season 3. They were out here this month, figure it out. We're always so late *sighs*. And then I also bought Slam by Nick Hornby and will gladly interrupt everything I had going on to read it because Nick Hornby owns my soul, hell yes.

because Bruce > everyone.

amen sister! XD
*highfives*

I will do this one tonight I think... although, like almost all of them will be Tom Waits cause I'm in that kind of mood.

and to comment on the first meme:

1. I so not envy you. Just wanna say that. I am sooooo happy to have small boobs. to be honest, I wouldn't mind even smaller ones if I was more skinny. Unexisting boobs on the body I have now would look weird though. Too big hips and bum you know. Gotta even it out a little bit XD (oh and yeah, I'm an A)

2. Sheesh, you already know my thought of dubbing. I feel your pain. I feel totally blessed living in Sweden o.o

4. Let's say that if there's some electronic instrument in it and it's not played by people in flesh and bones I won't like it.
so, what do you say about Muffinman's Missing? That's not someone fleshy playing the drums!

5. Neither have I. Here's to never doing it! *high fives*

6. Ewww, alcohol tastes icky. The only alcoholic beverage thing I like is Malibu. Why? It doesn't taste of alcohol but of coconuts XD And I loooove coconuts. Oh and 2,5%o Swedish cider. It's so little alcohol and it just tastes like... less sweet than other fizzy beverages.

7. You should try some really simple things with supervision and a halping hand ^^ How are you at baking btw?

1) This only adds to your total awesomeness. I'm not for total flat either but I'd kill for an A or a B cup. Never, never envy people who have the disgrace of a C+ one ;)

2) You so are. Dubbing -> bleaaargh.

4) Well, obviously everything I say doesn't apply to his Muffinity. Because if his Muffinity is involved, everything becomes awesome. So he could do electronic and still make it so awesome that I'd love it ;)

5) *high fives back* You are so even more awesome!

6) Well if it tastes of coconuts better ;) I can like an occasional cocktail but I usually leave them at half. I just don't like that.

7) I'm terrible at both. Problem is, with my mother it's stressing and no one else wants to supervise me because it seems like I'm a lost cause *shrugs* But I'll have to learn eventually, I mean, one day I'll have to leave here and then I don't want to starve or rely on take away ;)

1. I don't mind kinda flat if the girl is skinny, but someone with other curves should have a little bulging in the chest area XD
I have a friend who is like a DD or something. No she was. She has done loads of exercising lately and lost two sizes. I just pitied her. She could never by bras, or nice shirts for that matter. Everything looked weird.

4. Omg I would love to her his Muffinity try electronica of some kind XD I wonder what would happen

6. I totally forgot to say. I of course can't drink Malibu pure. I have to have at least double of somehting else (my speciality is what I dubbed "Sunrise in Eden" It's 2 parts Malibu, 2 parts apricot drink mixing thing (no alcohol, just colour and flavour you know?) and 4 parts orange juice or more. And ice. Nom nom. Or a little bit of Malibu in pinapple juice... or a pina colada with half the rum and the rum bing Malibu (it's coconut rum)

7. I would love to try XD

1) Yeah, exactly. And a little bulging is always right but hell, I completely get your friend. I can't get away without one and with all the nice shirts I can get there's stuff I just can't wear. Hate-it.

4) If he tried it I'd listen to it! He'd make it aweeesome anyway ;)

7) ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

I got drunk just one time because I mistook vodka for water
LOL. How is that even possible??

oooh come ti capisco con il problema delle tette... a volte sono davvero fastidiose!

Neanch'io ho mai fumato una sigaretta (intera) anche se ammetto di avere provato più volte (*cough* e non solo quelle *cough*)

oh, and thank you so much for the songs, I loved the one by Steve Earle you posted last week so I'm taking this new one as well, and the one by Costello too. Oh, and Bon Jovi, of course! I can never miss him. ;)

Want me to do a whole Earle post? I'm totally getting into the guy lately ;) BJ WINS. Especially because that song could evolve in Jack/Sawyer sorta fic, if I manage to..

lol. Mai bere da bottiglie senza etichetta. ;)

...a whole Earle post? Wow!
Don't do it for me - I have enough new songs to hear right now - but if you do, I'll gladly steal a few songs! :)

Postcards from the Wasteland? Are you serious? Today I've been reading Quadrophenia lyrics because Professor God said that it was a reinterpretation of the myth of the Wasteland. I'm so dling that song and them the ohters too. Don't look back in Anger is so, so much love. So much love. *sigh*

From: [identity profile] janie-tangerine.livejournal.com
LOL well it doesn't have anything to do with real Wasteland but that was the thing that gave me the letters idea I was talking about ;) Oh wow that's interesting! The Who are one of the few important groups I've never been able to get into but now I'll have a look at it at least for my indecent wasteland fixation. I ♥ Don't Look Back in Anger. I usually like more when Noel sings actually. Why does his brother have to sing? ;) no wonder I couldn't stand his Lost version... ;)

Date: 2008-05-09 09:42 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] lenina20.livejournal.com
His Lost version? What is that? Does it have something to do with Lost?

Date: 2008-05-09 09:45 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] janie-tangerine.livejournal.com
No, it's just that I had read somewhere that they based the Lost Liam (Charlie's brother) on Liam Gallagher and that the whole band was Oasis inspired since they both are two brothers, one is called Liam and sings and the other writes the songs and all of that. And of course I don't like Liam in Lost as I'm not that great fan of Oasis' Liam ;) but nothing more than that.

Date: 2008-05-09 09:55 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] lenina20.livejournal.com
Woah. That makes a lot of sense, especially given the fact that wonderwall became such a significant song for Charlie's character. I believe that is true.

I think it was on Lostpedia or someplace like that and yeah, it definitely makes sense. I totally think it, too ;)

I plan on keeping on it. If anything, apart from all the passive smoke I got in high school, I can't afford cigarettes. They're too expensive. I prefer coffee and Desmond ;)

Great songs! I love the Curse of Millheaven. I actually own the record and it's terrific. I also have the Sweeney Todd one. And you like Brel? He's my father's favorite. One day I'll get into him, when I'm far from home ;)

1. Me too. Though depending on the bra, sometimes a 36 is more comfortable. I would love to trade for a for a A & B just for a day. They really get in the way in yoga.

2. Dubbing is bad. I usually forget about the subtitles within the first few minutes.

3. No, you are the master.

4. I wish I was diverse. I would say my taste is as broad but I so rarely update it. I'm with you on the pop music. It's the devil!

5. Me too. I think it came from having parents who smoked and hating the smell.

6. I've learned to like cocktails that disguise the taste of alcohol and certain white wines. I hate beer and most hard alcohol.

7. But you are an excellent meal planner! Remember all those great dinners you planned for the Lost men?

Date: 2008-05-09 06:17 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] janie-tangerine.livejournal.com
1) I forgot to mention the pain they are when doing yoga. I'd give something for an a/b *sighs*!

2) Idem. *sighs*

3) nah, he is. If he wasn't I wouldn't have understood a thing. The fun was that I was there for some summer studying and I had a class in the morning (not in the afternoon though) which was full of Japanese people. The day after we had to talk about what we did the afternoon and as soon as I said I had gone to see a Kurosawa movie they were all excited and trying to guess the title from the plot because of course I couldn't say it.

4) As long as you like what you listen it's good ;) pop music IS the devil, indeed. Hate it.

5) I always hated the smell but thankfully my parents don't smoke. 95% of my friends did though and I hated it. Also, I don't know how they could afford it since cigarettes are damn expensive here.

6) Word.

7) Well, that I am! If I knew they were coming over I'd surely try hard!
