1. So it looks like they figured out what's wrong with me. Well, okay, I still have to do another round of blood tests but looks like it's either gastritis or something concerning the esophagus which I can't find the right expression for but which shouldn't be too bad in either case. *headdesk* Though at least it looks like he found some way to get the fever down which should happen within the week. And I hope because I've lost too much time over this already.
2. And of course point 1 means other blood tests on Monday. I swear I had more blood tests in the last two months than in all of my life.
3. I wish my cousin realized I do not like my grandmother's village. Because seriously, inviting me to a facebook group for 'lovers' of said place? *headdesk* I mean, reading the stuff they post there is kind of fun even if they're all completely crazy (seriously, a bar changes name and it's 'the end of an epic'? Oh well..), but seriously. She knows I barely stand the place two weeks each year. *sigh*
4. /small politics corner
Some idiots in the current government proposed to make immigrates pay a tax on their residence permit. And on the VAT number. *headdesk* I'm not even commenting on that anymore. /end
5. Last round of books/cds shopping: I bought myself Gaiman's Anansi Boys, the Brokeback Mountain soundtrack (which hell, it's so good. Well, I had some stuff from it, but not the entire cd and mm, I love it) and another couple of records which were ridiculously discounted. I clearly need to be kept out of bookshops which sell records, too.
6. Movies talking since I've watches some. The Man Who Laughs -> what a good film. I can't believe I had bought it six months ago and waited all this time to watch it. I also re-watched Some Like It Hot (which was the clear winner in the AU fic I should write) which is always awesome even if it was the fifth time, Misery which has to be one of the best King transpositions even if they kind of cut the most gruesome stuff if I remember well from the book. I've also watched Full Monty mainly because of something I'm writing. I had started it years ago and never finished it, but it was way better than I remembered. It was a lot of fun, I appreciated the gay couple even if it was barely shown and it gave me a couple ideas for said fic I needed it for.
7. I think it's pretty much all for now. I'll be off studying some and writing crack after I'm done.

Date: 2009-01-10 05:22 pm (UTC)Misery is such a good movie. I own it. I love Kathy Bates. I saw PS I Love You last night which not my type of movies but because I had such low expectation, I enjoyed it, mainly because of Kathy Bates and Jeffrey Dean Morgan.
Sigh, family and facebook groups - not a good combination.
I'm glad the doctors finally have an idea about your illness. Hey, Elliot had gastritis. Sorry, you probably didn't need to know this.
I am eagerly awaiting the results of your crack writing.

Date: 2009-01-10 05:55 pm (UTC)Oh, I really enjoyed P.S. I Love You. Not exactly my kind of movie either but a) I love Hilary Swank since Million Dollar Baby and I always like seeing her somewhere and b) any movie where there's Kathy Bates and Jeffrey Dean Morgan being naked and playing Steve Earle on the guitar is definitely ok with me. I totally love Kathy Bates, too. She's such a good actress, and Misery was incredibly well done. Especially considering how bad are usually movies from King.
Sigh, family and facebook groups - not a good combination.
Indeed. *sigh*
Ha, I think I remembered. ;) He said gastritis first and then leaned towards the other thing but anyway I just hope he figures out for good. And that I'm done with blood tests after.
The crack writing results shall arrive soon. ;)

Date: 2009-01-11 12:56 am (UTC)I never saw "some like it hot," which could explain why I voted for the corpse bride! lol! I'm curious of your adaptations (Full Monty? that I know, awesome!)

Date: 2009-01-11 09:25 am (UTC)Ha, well, I'll arrive on the corpse bride, too, but I'd definitely recommend Some Like It Hot. ;) It's awesome. It has crossdressing, good music, Marilyn, some half/canon slash and it's just too good for this world. And yeaaah, Full Monty.. *cough*
