Because point is, the book from which this movie is from is one of the best things that ever happened in my slasher life and that movie is probably the best adaptation from a book I've ever seen and I don't talk about both nearly enough. Also, they feature one of my top three OTPs ever. Also, I'm not spoiling anymore here (I probably will flail under the cut) but I totally had to do this, too. -nod- This thing is addictive.

Because I mean, what's better than star-crossed lovers riding into the sunset when they are two men in Victorian England? Ah, Forster and Merchant/Ivory, have my all of my non-existing children. ♥ (also, sorry for the weird coloring, I had caps from three sources, mine included, and of course they were all different.)

Ahhh, I love that Freddie Honeychurch Rupert Graves! :) I need to see this film again!

YES I SO DO TOO. (actually, I re-watched the last half hour three times yesterday. Yes, I make favorites.)

I actually need to see A Room With A View. I read the book ages ago but never got around to see the movie. Which is bad because any movie where Rupert Graves looks like that is something I should have watched ten years ago. ;)

Oh, you need to see it! It was the first "period" film/Merchant-Ivory film I'd ever seen. Opened up a whole new world of films to me. ♥

Oh, I so LOVE Merchant/Ivory. A Room With A View is probably my biggest hole but I've seen a lot of others and mm, I just love them so. This one is obviously my favorite but they really made such good movies.

Oh this movie/book. I really fell in love with it and Maurice/Alec! The "It's finished" is my favorite part. *sigh* I'm so glad they got their happy ending.

Thank you for the lovely spam! It made me smile. :)

Isn't it just a thing of beauty? The happy ending makes me so fuzzy. I so agree that the 'it's finished' is the best thing about it all even if I could rave about the rest for ages.

My pleasure, definitely glad it did! :)

Oh, Maurice. Hugh Grant, such a putz in that movie. I'm glad the ending was happy for Alec & Maurice.

Hugh Grant seriously was. Geez, I think I rarely wanted to slap a character more. But it was the same in the book so I guess it's good because he acted well. I was soo rooting for those other two.

I've never seen this film but the book is one of my all-time favourites. I love E.M. Forster. He created such beautiful stories.

Word about the book. I so love Forster, and that book especially. And if you happen to watch the movie I don't think you'll be disappointed, it was a really great adapting.

Oh, I just LOVE that movie - it is the most brilliant, perfect film of a story, isn't it? Mmmmm, and James and Rupert play the boys so well. *sigh* Thank you!

YESYESYES it is. Totally. Most brilliant and perfect indeed, and Hugh Grant can sod off. I'm all for those two riding into the sunset and he can sulk for eternity. ;) And yeah, those two were so good. I think I've watched it ten times or so and I'd go do it again if it wasn't so long. You're welcome! :)

Oh, you HAVE to check it out! I didn't spam those scenes, but if it's good advertisement, the two lovely guys in this scene also have sex two times and you get to see the brunette one in full-frontal, you also get Hugh Grant playing the repressed gay fellow (who is kind of way better in the beginning really) and it's full of boytouching from the beginning to the end. Not to mention, some of the most romantic stuff ever. ;) Glad you liked this one though!
