1. First exam of the round = done and it went a lot better than I'd have figured considering that it was hardest subject #2 and I studied a total of... one week and a half or something, even if I think it was less. Now I just need to get through the one I have on Friday *headdesk* and through the godawful Medieval philosophy one on the 29th and then the remaining two are fairly easier. When February 1st comes I'll be a much happier person though.
2.
sapphire_child, thanks so much for the card! <333
3. I'm totally excited for the fic battle at
lostsquee next week! And by the way, go prompt if you already didn't. ;) and duh, I accidentally read some Lost spoilers that make me very intrigued. I still am not as flaily as I was for S4 but it also might be that I've stayed away from spoilers this year and I don't know zilch. I have hope that it >>> S5 still. *sigh*
4. I'm so glad that Chuck is back!! <333 I totally loved how they started this season! Being short because otherwise it'd take most of the entry, Chuck/Sarah being back to square one is sorta frustrating but I get it, I still don't know whether I hate the general or I think that she's uber-cool, Chuck moving in with Morgan = YESSSSSS PLEASE, I was shocked at Emmett dying but I can't say I'll miss him, in the three eps there was way way less Jeff and Lester than I'd have liked (I want more! ;) Hell, I want Jeffster actually...), Awesome is AWESOME and that twist at the end of 3x03 was like OMG PLEASE NOOO, he and Ellie are adorable, Chuck is still adorable and I fear that Casey is becoming my new favorite character or something. I mean, idk why but these three eps he was way moar awesome than usual. And I liked that he was the one calling Sarah on being sort of straight with Chuck but whatever. Seeing Carina not being a bitch was nice and I totally was like \o/ when Morgan managed to have sex with her lolol. Also I miss Anna. :( And uh, yay for the management at the Buy More being back to usual. My favorite of the bunch was probably ep. 3x03, but overall it was a good start of the season imo. I'm so excited for the rest!
Also, Eye Of The Tiger!! \o/ (though I'm still :(( about Bryce.)
5. I also signed up for
spn_j2_bigbang in probably a moment of premeditated craziness. Dean/Castiel AU of doom which has been in my head for a month, I'll so write you. Or I hope, at least.
6. I think I want to do a very seriousbusiness post about how much I wish I lived in a more civilized country atm, but it'll probably have to wait until Friday.
7. Looking For Eric is an absolutely lovely movie. I <3 Ken Loach so I was sure I was going to like it, but it was so fun and nice and uplifting and obviously made with a ridiculous budget and that was exactly what I needed yesterday. It also made me wish I still cared about football. :/ Also, Eric Cantona = mm. Which means, if it comes near you I'd give it a try. ;) Also, I probably forgot to talk about it but The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus was awesome. I loved everything about it except the dubbing and Jude Law's haircut, but the first wasn't their fault. Also, Tom Waits as the devil was genius. I just wish I got to hear him in original. :// (Also, Heath Ledger -> ;_____;) Also, the movie I was looking forward the most this month was The Road and it probably won't even get a distribution here because it's apparently too depressing and no one wants to risk the money. Which brings me to a huge no comment, not to mention that it sounds like a total insult to the intelligence of any potential viewer. And then people complain about downloading movies...
8. I'm sure I wanted to say something else but I can't recall, except that I haven't read a proper book in a month and I want to read a goddamned novel, but until the 29th I doubt I'll manage anything not school related. Also, university websites not working has to be a Murphy's law or something. *sigh* And with this, pointless random entry of doom is done. ;)

Date: 2010-01-13 01:18 am (UTC)Is this the same Lost spoiler I've heard, I wonder? The one about two characters I used to ship very hard doing a new scene together (okay, I hope it is the same spoiler now...). But yeah. I haven't even watched Lost for an entire one and half seasons, and I'm geeking out over that. I never thought it'd happen...
Tom Waits as the devil was genius.
Agh! This movie isn't on DVD till March. Tom Waits as the Devil is genius casting. My heart aches to see Heath Ledger, so frakking talented and young, it hurts.
I want to see The Road too. It's not playing anywhere near, damn it!

Date: 2010-01-13 08:42 am (UTC)Here it came out in October but I didn't manage to go see it until last month and really, it's great. Agreed on TW's casting being utterly genius. And well, it's Terry Gilliam. I mean. For me it's a guarantee. And Heath Ledger, argh, when you see that it really hurts. ;_;
I so want to see it! Clearly it isn't even playing at all. *sigh* I'll just download it and wait a short while and if they release it eventually I'll just go probably see it again.

Date: 2010-01-13 08:53 am (UTC)Heee. Don't resist! ;) I had this idea for a month or so and I really want to write it and my friend who draws was like making heart shaped eyes when I told her that we might do it together for it so I just went for it, but I'd so love to see what you'd come up with! *hint* *nudges*

Date: 2010-01-13 01:32 am (UTC)I'm behind on Chuck (already) so I'll check back here later.
The Lost prompts look great but I just not feeling anything for Lost right now. Have fun!

Date: 2010-01-13 08:51 am (UTC)The post will be waiting. ;) I hope you do like it!
And ha, I'm feeling not exactly warm-ish towards the show but I really want to write it since I haven't done a normal Lost fic in ages so those prompts are coming in very handy. ;) Thanks!

THIS. There was too little Jeffster this round. They'd better have more next week.

Date: 2010-01-13 02:27 am (UTC)also, as I told you, I think you'll do awesomely with the bigbang. if there's someone who can do an epic, it's you!
janie, janie, your uncivilized country is doing its siren call at me right now through a trip organized by my painting class beginning of May. I can't really bring myself to hope i will go, because it's so darn expensive, but I went to the travel agent's office tonight and they explained the trip (Milan, Venice, Florence mainly, with little side things, and a possibility of an extension in Rome) and OMG WANT WANT WANT. I need to come with a financing plan. maybe selling my body. *flails*

Date: 2010-01-13 08:57 am (UTC)And ha, thanks so much! It probably will be the opposite genre of that other epic thing but I sort of really can't wait to write my idea, lol.
And OMG COME! *nudges* My uncivilized country is a shit to live in but it's awesome to visit and OMG Milan, Venice and Florence PLUS Rome? That's such an amazing trip, if you manage it'd be SO worth it. (And I can show you a nice place to have coffee if you're so inclined. ;) ) Maybe not arriving to body selling but... that's be great!! :D *flails on your behalf*

Date: 2010-01-13 04:31 am (UTC)I've more or less given up hope on Looking for Eric being released here, so I'm going to let the internet help me *coughs*, which sucks because it sounds like the only kind of uplifting movie I could stand watching. And Eric Cantona is my crazy football hero. Screw David Beckham, he's the reason why I became a Man United supporter.
no subject
Date: 2010-01-13 09:08 am (UTC)Well, it'd be the third time I tried to beat that thing (well, the first time I just said I was going to do it three months later and three months later I was nowhere near ready), so I hope this is the right one? Jeeesus. I can't even complain saying that it doesn't relate to my subject, lol. Thanks again! :D
Let the internet help you then! I'm kind of sure you'd love it, especially if Cantona is your football hero. I never got to know much about English football but if I had been interested back then (instead of in my country's, which lately is just so crap that I stopped caring) he'd have probably been my crazy football hero too because he's just awesome. Beckham WHO? ;) And yeah, it's just so uplifting and nice and exactly the right thing for having a nice time for two hours.

Date: 2010-01-13 08:27 am (UTC)I have a very bad feeling about Lost and I can't shake it off. I am ready for it to be here and whatever happens, happens.
Also, the song you were listenning to... :) You're awesome!

Date: 2010-01-13 09:05 am (UTC)I strangely am not having much of a feeling at all except for being happy that Boone is back for three episodes, figure that out. But I think I'm ready for it to arrive and just go on and whatever happens, happens indeed.
HA. ;) THAT'S MY FAVORITE BOB DYLAN SONG. ;) Thanks, but it's the song that is awesome. :DDD

Date: 2010-01-13 10:35 am (UTC)Yay for AU of doom! :) And oh, you write a lot; I can't even imagine signing up as a writer!
The Road was quite good - the cinematography is beautiful! - and I kind of want to see Dr. Parnassus.

Date: 2010-01-13 12:25 pm (UTC)And ha, thankfully I'm wordy by nature so I think I'll manage. Since I can't be short I might as well give into the urge. ;) And ha, this time is sorta romantic though. I'll see how it comes through.
I want to see it, dammit *sigh* And Parnassus is just so great. The cinematography there is just stunning.

Date: 2010-01-13 02:22 pm (UTC)I've heard of Looking for Eric..now I must try to see it.
I prompted away...take a wild stab in the dark at what pairing I asked for...but damn there's a lot of prompts there, good luck sorting them out.
By the way CONGRATS!!! on being the new mod, you will be most excellent just as zee was.

Date: 2010-01-13 07:17 pm (UTC)Oh, you do! It's such a lovely movie, I enjoyed it a lot.
And ha, good! I'll do another batch of prompts before the post is closed I think, but the ones that are there now look great.
And thank you!! :D *blushes*

Date: 2010-01-14 07:18 am (UTC)I really-really-really need to start watching Chuck! I watched the first episode when it aired and I loved it, but I just kept missing episodes and I never got around to catching up on it! But I love Zachary Levi, and it just seems so fun..
Aw, Heath Ledger :( I haven't seen The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus yet, but I quite want to!

Date: 2010-01-15 02:37 pm (UTC)And Chuck is AWESOME. Watch it!! Zachary Levi is so sweet, and that show is just awesome. I <3 it.
Do watch it! It's a good movie. ;) And yeah. Heath :((

Date: 2010-01-16 11:21 pm (UTC)I will definitely watch it! I have so much tv to get caught up on. I haven't seen any of SPN this season, and I'm a few episodes behind on ze Vampire Porn. And Lost soon! SO excited!

4. *Am studiously avoiding Chuck stuff until I watch the new episodes* Seems to be a lot of Awesome, though!

Date: 2010-01-15 02:39 pm (UTC)And ha, good policy. I stopped when they gave me squee and I don't regret that much, but it's good to be spoiler-free. I had forgotten how it was. ;) And the prompts look just great!!
Awesome is there a lot indeed. Which is just good if you ask my opinion..
