Okay, this is my real reaction post.

Team reboot

1. Uh. Hi. I liked the reboot. A lot. A real lot. Even if I'd really like to know how they're going to deal with it because seriously? How are they ever going to reconcile the timelines? O_O whatever, I'll just see it.

2. Reboot!Jack is delicious. In every sense of the word.

3. DESMOND IS ON THE PLANE WHAT WHAT WHAT I NEED THAT EXPLAINED. Also for a minute I shipped Jack/Des again. Good times. And he was reading Dickens, right?

4. Rose and Bernard = <3333333333333333333333333.

5. Sayid's I COULD BE OF ASSISTANCE before going all Chuck Norris and kicking the door was the second-best part of the whole reboot imo. Also, Jack CPRing Charlie = nice touch. With Sayid instead of Kate? NICER. ;)

6. I actually liked Kate. WHUT. And I actually liked Kate and Sawyer in the same scene. WHUUUUT. Something is wrong with me.

7. CHARLIE!! Even if for ten seconds but CHARLIE!!!!!!!!!!!!

8. YAY CLAIRE!! For one second but whatevs. And was she on the plane? O_o

9. Frogurt + Arzt = I APPROVE. Except WHERE ARE SCOTT AND STEVE???????!!!

Yes, that's the shit I care about.

10. Hurley is always awesome. And I love his bromancing with Sawyer.

11. I loved that scene with Jack and Locke. It was just so great not to see them at each others' throats, and I had missed S1 Locke so much that I just sort of really was tearing up. Awwww. And wait a sec, did Locke say he had knives in his bag? Then how did Jack know if he obv. doesn't remember?

12. Best for last: YES, THE PENS AND BOONE. WHEN JACK WAS LIKE, 'I NEED A PEN', I was like 'SEE? SEE? IT COMES BITING YOU IN THE A**' *cough* and that said, it was barely a minute but IT WAS BOONE. AND HE WAS BACK. <333333333 I MISSED SHANNON BUT DAMN it was more than I had expected considering I've been going three seasons without. And I actually liked that conversation with Locke even if after the 'I'm sticking with you' I was like NO YOU REALLY SHOULDN'T but hell, whatever, it just was good to see them talking and I had missed them and I don't really care about the rest. Also Locke lying at Boone like that was sort of really awwww inducing at least because I finally got to feel some sympathy for Locke again. Aw. Darling I had missed you. <3333333333333333

Team WE'RE BACK IN 2009 BITCHES, where's the party?!

13. Okay, I'll admit it: I should have been a lot more moved. I mean, considering that atm Sayid is my favorite character I should have been freaking out, but I wasn't. It makes me feel bad but most of the time I was thinking that damn, he really had to be the resident Chuck Norris if he was still alive when they got to the temple after bleeding out all that time and being manhandled all that time. Seriously, Sayid, you win for resistance and for resurrections.

14. That said, if he didn't bite it now, then I want to say that he isn't biting it anytime soon. I mean, fuck, I have been dreading his death for two seasons but considering this, I'm starting to think that he'll be the only one left alive in the end.

15. Juliet = :((((( damn. Even if during the last season I was mostly WTF at the character development (or, un-development) it still sucked that she had to die. I mean, now what, how many female characters we have, four? One of which is freaking ILANA? Blaaaaah. I do not approve. Also, damn, that scene with her and Sawyer was sweet. I didn't really ship them and I'm not shipping them now, but still, aww.

16. Hi. I still like Jack. Oops. *hides*

17. Hurley, you're AWESOME. I love the guy. He's my constant in all this madness.

18. Miles is also awesome. He needs to be more around though.

19. Sawyer, say it all you want but I doubt you'll kill Jack. He's too relevant to the plot.

20. The Other Others are confusing. What? And why is Cindy with them, wasn't she with Ben's others? As the two kids? And who is the Korean/Chinese/Asian guy? Idk all the time he was on I felt like I should have enough elements to guess it but I couldn't come up with anything. And his bff there looked like the hippie guy who had the two AM slot in The Boat That Rocked, which led me to call him island Cat Stevens but I'll stop there. Whaaat.

21. Also, ashes keep the smoke monster off. Right.

If Supernatural is doing everything to crossover with Lost, surely Lost isn't doing anything not to crossover with SPN. That said, the CGI was epically bad.

22. I missed Jin and his lovely arms. For the rest I'll admit that for most of the time in this part I was like 'well, WTF, WTF, LOL forever'.

23. Clearly Jacob is dead and... HE'S PRETTIER THAN HE WAS BEFORE! *snort* Though when Hurley was left alone with Sayid I was like 'okay, now Jacob is going to come out of the woods and save the day' and it happened and I was like 'duh, when did I start guessing this show?'.

24. Well, now I want next week.

Team we need more Frank.

25. Well, that's all I have to say on the at-the-foot part. Sincerely? Frank my dear, thanks for being the only idiot making sense.

26. Ilana needs to gtfo now.

27. Fake!Locke needs to do likewise. Even if TOQ is good at playing evil, that's for sure. Also will they fucking tell his name so that at least we don't have to resort to stand-ins? Also, f!Locke talking about real!Locke that way was blah. It made me even feel sorry for r!Locke even if we were done professionally for a while. Also good to know that he's the smoke monster, but wasn't the smoke monster mechanical? Or anyway you could call him? O__________o

28. Duh. I had always assumed that Richard came on the ship but that he was a second mate or something. Now if f!Locke says he was in chains then it means he was a slave? Iiintereeesting. If only because of the totally 19th century romance with sci fi elements novel that Richard/Jacob might become, lol. Okay, sorry. I can't help that.

29. F!Locke, hands off Richard. Thanks.

30. Seeing Ben being mindfucked for once is highly amusing, but if it turns out that I'll have to cheer for Ben against f!Locke I'll throw a fit. Also er, f!Locke knocks Richard out like that and no one helps? Niiiice.

31. Overall: it needs more Frank.

32. This show overall needs more Frank and more zombies I think, but anyway. I'm liking this better than the S5 premiere. I'm liking the reboot in the 'OMG FANFICTION!!!' way, BOONE WAS BACK FOR TWO MINUTES which is more than enough to make me happy, I'm just going along with the wtf and well, damn, I always said that this show is crack on a stick masked with angst, so I'll just go along with it and see what the hell are they doing.

33. Last thing which I should've said in the team reboot, but it was interesting that the plane not having crashed and Des being on it (I guess at least) meant that the island was long underwater. Also.... the Dharma shark was the most amusing thing of the whole deal. I approve of the Dharma shark.

34. Really last thing: why every time that someone dies in this show they don't have their famous last words? I mean, Boone died mid-way, Juliet didn't get to even start them, Charlie had to write on his hand, what.

Overall: I liked it. And at this point I'm just going along.

Also, I might want to write something because there's a reboot scene that needs rectifying. Sometime I will. And now I'll be off studying and not trying to make sense of this because however they're solving this it'll be crack stuff and I just don't even try anymore.

You know how I said I was going to watch some of this? Turns out today that...I just can't be bothered. I saw one or two clips and...I must've forgotten how lame Lost can be. The lines felt so contrived with Darlton self-referencing their own show at every oppurtunity.

Charlie's return holds no real interest. So in universe-1 Charlie wanted to live but was doomed to die and in universe-2 he wants to kill himself but is forcibly revived. So...there's nothing for me to root for in either timeline. I really don't like or agree with Charlie being suicidal.

I kinda feel like the ALT might just be really elaborate filler to put off the evil moment when Darlton have to reveal their no-doubt stupid answers to this show.

How come they resurrected Sayid but not Juliet?

I was pretty flat about everything. Oh yeah, there's Charlie. Okay. *shrugs* Whatever. I was less annoyed about everything than just plain numb.

How come they resurrected Sayid but not Juliet?

Here's the plot answer - "technically" because he was still alive and therefore could be healed. But it is not clear if the real Sayid is dead and his body has been resrerected to be used as a shell for Jacob or the other guy or whoever. Here's my other answer - because Juliet, like most of the female characters, is considered irrelevant to the actual mythology, and served her purpose as a foil to the trainagle. Therefore she was more useful dead than alive.

Yeah, I had the impression that Juliet died so that Sawyer had something pretty to decorate his biceps with. And if Sayid is now a possessed corpse then...I really can't be watching any of S6.

I doubt that if only because other guy is obviously Locke (and not even in Locke's body since the body is in the coffin) and Sayid did ask what happened which I doubt he'd ask if he was Jacob. I think it was the same thing that was with Ben and Ben wasn't possessed by anyone or still isn't, so... I don't know what would that mean for an overall character evolution because I guess that the whole Temple healing has something to do with Ben not being an adorable grown-up double of Harry Potter but an evil mastermind, but I wouldn't be too sure about Sayid not being Sayid. Or at least I'm not buying that until they spell it out for me.

LOL, it probably is lame. But probably for me it helps that I stopped taking it seriously after the S1 finale or maybe even before because after Boone I decided that if I kept on watching I should have just gone with the crack, so I guess I'm just going along with it. And well, it was self-referencing but then again it was practically authorized fanfiction so nothing I wasn't expecting.

S1!AU Charlie seemingly is suffering from some real timeline universe and yeah, the suicidal thing sucks ass. I liked the reviving though. I mean, probably just because it referenced my second favorite episode ever but I was just like 'omg yes they referenced it!' and ended it there. During the rest of the timeline I was mostly like 'seriously...? Whatever, let's just go with it for the sake of it.'

If the ALT becomes filler I'll probably be pissed, but as long as they give me some Boone time I'll take it and rest my eyes looking at nice stuff.

How come they resurrected Sayid but not Juliet?

Because apparently Sayid is impossible to kill, but I agree with Elliot's answer under there.

Sadly. But considering what they did with Juliet's character last season it was pretty much not redeemable. In the sense, they completely sacrificed her to the quadrangle (idiots) and I don't even have an idea about what she could have done if resurrected, except being tangled in the quadrangle again. Blah. But I had been expecting it all the way, especially because she's a woman. *headdesk*
