janie_tangerine: (DONE PROFESSIONALLY)

And here we are at it again. Last term I couldn't sign up for my exams because I got into university the last year before a (stupid) reform and they had classified all the exams of the last term so that just people who enrolled with the new reform could see them. And it ended up with me losing hours trying to figure that out and, in three cases, with three different outcomes: a) having a receipt for an exam that says that I gave a class of last year's second term and not this year's first, b) a blank receipt, c) having to go to the professor's office and having them signing me up.

Now, one would think that they'd fix that, right?

Nope. Today I go to sign up for two exams I have to make on the 15th and the 7th which (casually?) are both with two professors with a contract one of which doesn't teach at my university in the first place (he's here just for this year). I need to do six credits for each exam, and the site shows me just one option. For twelve credits. So I go to e-mail both and one answers me before I finish to e-mail the other telling me that she had put also exams for six credits and I should go to the school office, ask them and then let her know, and I figure that if I e-mail him I'll get the same answer. Aaand... tomorrow it's a national vacation, which means I can't go, and now it's 6 PM and it's too late. Sometimes I'd like to have in front of me whoever runs the uni site so that I could slap them. Is that too hard to get it right? Jesus, before this year it ran smoothly. Yeah, well, once each week it crashed, but that was normal administration. Now, I'm pretty sure that if I go to the school office they'll tell me that they don't know zilch (as they did for the entire month I stalked them last term) and I can just get a blank receipt, which is kind of not the goddamn point.

Before I get worried for the actual exams, I'll end up with an headache and another bunch of hours lost during which I could have studied something or done something productive (proof of that: I started the whole signing shit exactly thirty-five minutes ago and I ended up signing just for the exam I need to do on the 28th which wasn't exactly the most urgent thing, and it's the only result). I mean, dammit, I have enough stuff on my hands, do I always need to spend time actually just signing up for the damn thing? I fear it happens just in Italy. :////

Okay, rant over. Sorry about that. I'll go back to studying if I manage.

Ee, because here it's a different system. Classes are open (anyone from outside uni could attend lectures in theory) and then you have to sign up because you never registered for a class. ;) And yeah, sucks. I hope that tomorrow they actually solve it or it'd be a major problem. Thank you! :D
