Or: i haven't managed to do half of the things I wanted re Bonnie because they required photoshop and mine kept on crashing until I realized what was conflicting with it, and with that exam coming up I couldn't do much else, but I'll try to post something else between today and tomorrow.

For now, have a spam and some commentary on the Most Badass Scene Bonnie Ever Had, at least imo.

Klaus: You were dead!

*Bonnie proceeds on torturing the hell out of him while Stefan and Damon kill the other witch and grab Elena and so on*

Elijah: In the name of our family, Nicklaus...

Klaus: I didn't bury them at sea! Their bodies are safe. If you kill me, you'll never find them.

Stefan: Elijah! Don't listen to him.

Klaus: I can take you to them. I give you my word... Brother.

Bonnie: Do it or I'll take you both out.

Elijah: You'll die.

Bonnie: I don't care!

Now, this is probably my favorite scene she ever had for a whole number of reasons. First: GOSH SHE'S FIERCE. Look at her face. She's there trying to keep down the most powerful vampire in existence who is also half a werewolf and has already tried to kill her before, and she doesn't falter one second. And when Klaus is like 'WHUT I KILLED YOU' she's like 'yeah you wish' and proceeds to totally own him. Say what you want but girl has guts, and a whole damn lot of them. Especially since she had been ready to die if it meant saving Jenna before - she knows she's risking her neck, but she doesn't hesitate in rushing into it. And not because she's an idiot - it's because she genuinely cares about the people whose lives are at stake.

But the bolded part is what made me go like 'shit girl my love for you is endless'. She's there trying to keep Klaus down and not trusting vampires as any smart person would, she understands that Elijah might not hold up his end of the deal. And she has no quibble about taking them both even if Elijah obviously isn't the same kind of evil bastard that his brother is and if it means that she bites it. When she says she doesn't care it's not her being reckless or having a death wish - she hasn't, thank you very much (look at her conversation with Jeremy in I think 2x07 - I wanted to spam that one too but didn't have time). She just wants the people she loves safe and she'll die in the process if it means that they're safe for good. Or that they're safe from the Most Evil Vampire Currently Alive. Her selflessness just gets to me, and count that in order to do this whole thing, she had worked with Damon. Whom she hates. But the fact that she doesn't like him doesn't prevent her from working with him if it means that it keeps her best friend safe along with everyone else - Mystic Falls vampires included. And to have this kind of guts when you aren't even old enough to buy alcohol (at least in her country) isn't a given. My appreciation, she has it forever.

also: I stumbled into some blog with stuff the bloggers wanted for S3, and out of three, two wanted Bonnie dead along with her supposed selfishness and holier-than-thou attitude. Clearly. I think that the scene here proves enough that she isn't selfish and that she can get over the holier-than-thou attitude, which by the way has logical reasons in 90% of the cases. I'd just like to state: if she had died in S2, this scene wouldn't have happened and everyone else would have been so thoroughly fucked that Stefan going dark side is nothing in comparison. The way I see it. Okay, I'm done with the ranting.

Bonnie is, IMO, the least selfish member of Mystic Falls. Caroline is my girl but i flove Bonnie too. this explanation summarises why completely.

i can't decide if i love this scene more or the one in 2x18 when she fought with Klaus for the first time. i cheered, i cried, she was fantastic.

i don't understand how people can call Bonnie selfish. SHE IS ALWAYS AWARE OF HER DUTY IN THE GRAND SCHEME OF THINGS. JFC PEOPLE.

The way I see it, Bonnie is a true witch. She understands that she is the servant of nature, and that it is bigger than her. Her grandmother taught her well. From the very beginning she understood that she didn't get all this power to levitate feathers, and she learned to live with that. I think that she is pefrectly aware that sooner or later she is going to die because of magic. She is ok with that. She is a soldier.
