1. I've spent half of my afternoon searching for a longhand draft of some fic I had written like, in December. I clearly didn't find it. Meanwhile, I found at least ten other drafts of stuff I had started longhand and never finishes and some awful attempt at writing Grey's Anatomy in Italian. Which means that stuff is at least three years old and I was still in high school. In short, I found everything I could have not asked for except the one I wanted. Well, actually I wanted to find another one too but I think I had the sheets together so finding one would make me find the other. Also, I had this folder full of Lost longhand stuff, done and not done, and it seems like it disappeared into thin air. WTF? I don't care about someone finding it since my dad is the only one around here who understands English well enough and I know he doesn't read any stuff I might leave around but it's not like it's okay anyway. *sigh* Tomorrow I'll keep on doing it and if I can't manage I'll just try to re-write the thing.
2. I updated that comprehensive tables post so that I have everything there, finished and unfinished. I put the completed ones off the links so that I have that part cleaned up, too. And I realized I'm actually better off with those than I had thought. *is almost done with the spring cleaning*
3. I can't remember who was that recced The Fisher King to me ages ago (the movie I mean) but I've finally seen it and I loved it.It was exactly what I needed to see lately, I was seriously lacking some movie as refreshing as that one was. It was the perfect fun/angst balance, the whole take on the Holy Grail thing was IMHO genial and I don't think I've ever liked Robin Williams more in a movie for real. Just confirmed my opinion that Terry Gilliam is a genius. And I want to steal lines from that movie to put in fic so much that it isn't even funny. Exactly the kind of movie I wish I had seen earlier. *plans to re-watch sometime soon* How good of a movie it was!
4. Upon failing at point #1, I decided I'd go buying the books I need for the semester. Turns out that my usual bookstore who also owns the record shop chain next door was having a 25% discount on all cds and dvds until tomorrow. Clearly after I got what I could find of the school books I ended up raiding the record shop chain and came out with three dvds and some Pearl Jam stuff since while I love them I didn't have anything original and so there it goes. The lack of Steve Earle sucked but it's not like I can't find anything Earle here. And I also bought myself Homage To Catalonia in English because I read it in Italian back then and it won't do. (By the way? I love Orwell. *sigh*)
5. Steve Earle speaking, he's playing with Bruce and Joan Baez and Emmylou Harris at the concert for Pete Seeger's 90th birthday.
I think I'm the happiest camper ever. When I heard it I squeed for one hour. Why, yes, it doesn't take much to make me a happy camper.
6. Vows for tomorrow: dear Janie, actually finish something that you started writing. Anything as long as you finish it. (Uhm, okay, guess I'll try to keep it.) And don't give into temptation and watch the movies you bought today. Uhm, okay, I'll stop freaking myself out and get back to the first person.
7. Dear weather, stop being schizophrenic. A week ago it was all warm and spring and sun and I felt pretty much great already, since yesterday I wouldn't be surprised if it started snowing for how cold it is. No love, me.
8. I think it's enough blathering for now. ;) *waves* Tomorrow I'm so finding that thing.
