1. Happy birthday to [livejournal.com profile] valhalla37! I hope you're having a smashing time and that your next year is full of awesome things, job-wise and everything else-wise, and may it also be filled with Jeremy Davies getting a lead on a good show or appearing in as many places as possible. ♥ and if you have prompts or anything I'll see what I can do. :)

1b. Incidentally, also happy birthday to Bruce Springsteen, Ray Charles and John Coltrane. Why wasn't -I- born on Sept. 23rd?

1c. Oh, and double incidentally, I hope Misha is having the time of his life at his kid's birthday party. Another one who picked a good day to be born, unlike myself.

2. In RL news: university is currently making me want to commit harakiri in ten different ways. (And I ended up refusing my grade at that stupid exam and ended this close to arguing with my professor but whaaatever. Next time.) In better news, my tooth is apparently fixed and also not sensitive anymore, and it's good that it's done with. In I-don't-even-know news, after the high school reunion I'm apparently facing a junior high reunion. I'm totally not convinced that it's a good idea, since it's the kind of thing where you should bring popcorn and munch while people strangle each other virtually, but we shall see. And yoga started again, and it's been glorious. At least that.

3. Also, I've seen a lot of TV in the last two days.

3a) SILLY SLASHY MINDLESS SHOW I MISSED YOU. And now, IT HAS A LOST REUNION :DDDDD really the best thing was Terry O' Quinn and DDK arguing about stuff WHILE ON HAWAII. I'm not past that yet lol. I hope TOQ stays a while because I had forgotten how good it feels to let yourself like his characters. Also: Masi Oka now being a regular = I APPROVE. Max is adorable and I want to squish him forever. Also: Steve and Danny stay married forever. Also: BRUCE FROM JUDGING AMY IS THE NEW GOVERNOR. I very much approve. It's still not even remotely plausible, but I never watched H50 for the plot coherency. The one thing I want explained is Jenna, because I really liked her and could do without her being some Very Bad Person, but I'm interested in where they go with it. Also Kono, kick ass any day. Overall I thought it wwas better than finale and pre-finale and P. Diddy ep all put together, so I'll just say welcome back silly show.

3b) MY FEELINGS. I AM FULL OF FEELINGS.

- Mostly: Alaric waking up half-naked and assuming it was Damon banging on his door was the best thing that ever happened ever. I don't even. PERFECTION. SHIP.

- Also: Elena, thanks for not giving up on your boyfriend and smack sense into Alaric, because I love you three being a dysfunctional family unit.

- Damon ganging up with Alaric because clearly Alaric called HIM for back-up was like, idek, PERFECTION again. Ship, don't ever change.

- Stefan, AWWW. SAVING YOUR BROTHER SNEAKILY. NICE, STEFAN. Also it was nice seeing Damon coming to terms with the fact that they're erotically codependent. ;)

- Klaus totally wants to screw Stefan senseless on every possible surface.

- That said, basically this ep was me being like 'LOL' at people I didn't like. IE: at Klaus when his hybrid project failed and at Carol when she found out that her son was a supposed monster too. I should feel bad, but.

- HRG FROM HEROES IS CAROLINE'S DAD. WHAT'S THIS MINDFUCKERY. HE DOESN'T KILL HER I HOPE.

- Tyler is rocking that hair. Also people MATT HAS A STORYLINE I can't get over the shock of it. Also I still maintain that Matt offering Tyler to look at him while he turned was sweet. Interspecies threesome, you can still happen! *hopes*

- So Vicky wants to come back and Anna says not to trust her? I say two things: a) trust Anna (because she looks a lot more sane) and b) CALL BONNIE BACK, PEOPLE.

- In conclusion: SHOW NEVER STOP BEING MORE AWESOME THAN I COULD EVER GIVE YOU CREDIT FOR. Also Damon, you look DELICIOUS in the moonlight.

3c) Errr. Basically, I decided I'm watching this for Nestor Carbonell's eyelashes. Which is a pity because the premise is good, but the execution is being... kind of ridiculous. By the second episode I already couldn't buy that NO ONE understood that Bridget is posing as her sister (seriously?). And the whole thing about hiding the body was hilarious - that thing should have started to smell waaaay before the party started. The acting is good in the sense that the material is what it is and they do the best that they can with it, but if it wasn't for Nestor Carbonell's face I'm not sure I'd stick with it. Ioan Gruffudd is lovely as well, though. I can't complain about the eye candy. Also, I had missed Maybelline's face, so I guess I can stick with it since it's not like I have that many shows going on.

This one I liked! :D It didn't grab me with a punch to the gut but the premise is good, the acting is as well and I enjoyed the pilot a lot, so it's sticking. And I can finally watch something with Michael Emerson without thinking 'geez he's a good actor but CHARACTER GTFO MY SCREEN'. So I'll be sticking with it for now.

Also: BOARDWALK EMPIRE IS BACK THIS WEEK! :DDDDDDDDD aaand SPN is back today! Tomorrow for me! I'm feeling ridiculously giddy and happy and flailing about the first and... re the second, I'm totally unspoiled and just wanting to see what happens, and I'm glad that it's back altogether because by now I've been wrecking myself after it for five years, it'd feel wrong not angsting about it anymore. Tho please FSM let Castiel have a good story, thanks.

4. Also, I might not be the greatest Foo Fighters geek on this planet but when I see this kind of stuff I'm glad that they exist.

The best thing is that out of the Westboro people just one understood they were being made fun of by the people they were picketing.

5. PM is being disgusting beyond any limit. Germans on my FL: sorry regarding his comments re your PM, who's surely a lot more competent than him. (And way more attractive, all things considered.) basically: guy said in a wiretapping stuff that would make me say 'well let them be bankrupt' if I were her. thankfully for everyone I'm not. Also, my favorite Italian program got axed because he didn't appreciate that they did satire about him/invited people he didn't like. The second I know when we vote, since they're not lasting until the term is done, I'll mark days on a calendar.

6. Next post should have a bunch of recs. Which I didn't do this summer but I want to see if I can pick up the habit. Hopefully...

7. Aaand that's it for now. I'll go to bed crossing my fingers for good things to happen on SPN. Or better, to Castiel, who am I fooling..
