She looks at him as if he’s just hit his head.
“You do what,” she repeats.
Honestly, Jaime had quite hoped that his frankly very passionate and meaningful declaration would make her blush or swoon or any of those extremely delightful things that maids always do in songs when complimented and that Brienne absolutely does as well except she likes to pretend she doesn’t.
Instead she’s… really not convinced, or so it seems.
“I love your mouth,” he repeats. “I mean, I love you, but in this specific case I really, really fucking love your mouth.”
“Jaime, that makes no bloody sense.”
“And why wouldn’t it?” He shakes his head, pecking her lips, moving closer.
Brienne moves back. “They’re — too much,” she shakes her head. “It’s obvious. I know they’re too full and they look the way they do, you don’t have to lie —”
“Oh no, no, I’m positively not lying. You have no idea, do you?”
“Then how about you explain this nonsense?” She huffs, but she does sound amused now. Good.
“First of all,” he grins, “your lips are so soft, I swear to the gods, every single time I kiss you they feel so good, and who cares if they’re large, it means I have more to kiss when I want to.” He pecks them again, just to make a point. “And they’re always so warm, and you have no idea how amazing it is when they touch any place that’s not my mouth but seven hells, it’s — lovely.”
“Jaime —”
“I tried smaller and thinner,” he grins, and for once it doesn’t hurt to say it, and these are the moments when he’s halfway sure that he has moved past his sister for good, the moments when he thinks about how it felt to do with her something he does with Brienne and how the memory pales in comparison. “There is no competition. Yours are absolutely superior.”
Before she can say anything, he leans forward, kisses her again, fully, taking his time, and when he moves back she’s flushing and smiling just a bit and shows a hint of teeth, for once, and he doesn’t mind that they’re crooked either, and maybe he should tell her.
“Also, you never show your teeth but you keep as good care of them as it gets, and they’re always so gentle —”
“How are teeth gentle now —”
“When you bite me,” he winks, “they never leave signs.”
“They shouldn’t — oh, gods,” she groans, “you shouldn’t say — it would be — it would be painful, I wouldn’t —”
“Some people like it,” he shrugs, “but I don’t, and so you don’t do that, and believe me but it’s not my universal experience, so yes, I do quite damn like your teeth as well. And so maybe they’re full and they’re darker than the rest of your skin, so what, I like looking at them. And I like them on me. Fuck,” he says, “guess no one told you that you can suck a cock perfectly with that mouth, didn’t —”
“Oh, because before you I had a queue of people outside my door wanting to try my skills at that one art?” She retorts, but now she’s looking at him, blue eyes staring up into his, and she’s half-smiling and he thinks he has her exactly where he wanted her —
“I suppose not,” he agrees, “which is too bad for them because you’re exceedingly good at it and you were a natural, and if they didn’t see it, better for me. Honestly, I quite lucked out, my lady, and if other people —”
“So,” she smiles back, slowly, her hand closing around his wright wrist, “does that mean you like it when I do this, too?” She asks, and the she brings it up, kissing the rough scar tissue on his stump, softly but so very firmly, her tongue brushing along the edge of it, and Jaime lets out a groan, unable to hide how that made him hard at once, not that she doesn’t know it already.
Oh, she knows it perfectly, same as she knows him —
“I like that best,” he admits, quietly, with less bravado than before, and when she smiles at him she shows all of her teeth and it’s such a beautiful smile —
“Then I suppose I should kiss it some more before I give you more showing of my… skills with my mouth, how about that?”
Jaime loves how he has rubbed off on her, when it comes to actually talking about what they do in bed.
“My lady,” he grins back, “I couldn’t think of a better way to spend the evening.”
And he wholly, utterly means it.
