FLASHFORWARD
1. Well. I guess I should say some intelligent thing about this but the whole sum was that Mr Shephard was so damn hot that I didn't care about much else. OMG. OMG. That first sequence with the shower..... duh. I mean. *thud*
1bis. And when he said son of a bitch I was like is Sawyer's ghost around? See what I've got to do to slash? *sigh*
2. Future!Jack/Kate -> fail. Sorry. Didn't like it one bit. In the first part I just photoshopped at least four or five people in Kate's place. And Jack raising Aaron? WTF? Sorry but NO. When he proposed I was like 'Jack where the hell did you go?!' and in the end? Well, I was mighty glad. Seems like going insane is his best way to sanity.
3. No wonder she doesn't want to see him in the future though.
4. Christian Shephard creeps-me-the-fuck-out and he's the character with more screen time EVER.
5. Where did I see the doctor that prescribes Jack the pills?
6. just two words: GO CHARLIE. You WIN at life even if you're dead.
7. Can I just hug Hurley? Please?
8. More in the speculation corner but for now I'll just say that OMG Jack you're a sight for sore eyes.

18. Though at least this was a more intelligent way of getting Aaron with Kate than I'd give them credit for.

SPECULATION CORNER
28. So, my how-Kate-has-Aaron theory: Sawyer arrives on the beach only with Miles and Aaron. Or Miles goes on the beach and tells Kate Sawyer is somewhere near. Whatever. They meet, they have the great shipper moment, he says he's staying and he knows she loves Jack and all that jazz but since the island is not a place to raise a kid and the mother is gone doing dad-daughter bonding he makes her promise she'll take care of Aaron and gives him to her. Which seems to me as I said before much more intelligent than I'd give them credit for even if it's going to make my eyes roll because I don't like it, if it happens. But I don't like the Aaron-in-the-future storyline anyway, so..
29. So that's how Jack started going downhill. I sincerely hoped it was because he was seeing Boone and not his dad but however.
Yes, I'm still THAT delusional.
30. So Hurley has kinda accepted the ghost!Charlie? I'm sure they have long talks.
31. And anyway, I already said it but ghost!Charlie wins. You're not supposed to raise him. HA. Square and straight.
32. Which is true because daddy!Jack creeped me out almost as much as mommy!Kate.
33. Who is getting scarier. My son? Like hell.
34. If she's doing something for Sawyer, she's probably meeting Cassidy. Or it's Clementine-related. I mean, the else could she do for him?
35. And anyway.... why, why does she have to lie? Why? Can't she just tell him and not start with trust me and all that shit?
36. I'm not saying that he wasn't an asshole to her because he was. And I'm not saying that this episode didn't stress all of Jack's flaws because it did. But well. As much as I headdesked, I love the guy. I can't not love him. Though they pretty much killed my only Jack canon ship. *sighs*
37. Can we have a ghost party? Please? I'm in bad need of Boone fixing. Really. It's being pretty bad these days.
38. The downward spiral starting hurt, though.
Overall, I liked it. And at least it gave some sorta answers. Sorta. But Jack/Kate -> NO. Guess I'll go and write denial Jack/Juliet. And shit, Danielle is really dead. Show, I hate you as much as I love you.

LMAo. Thanks for that comment. You really tickled. I'm not planning on watching this episode (seriously, the Jate stuff might cause me to lose the will to live), so could you give me the low down on the scene where Hurley talks about his Charlie visits? I love that he is pissed about the Aaron thing. He really needs to come and kick off at Jack/Kate in person.

While it worked for the story and was good writing regarding him (while it wasn't regarding her but that isn't the point) it completely sickened me for how much I hate those two together so I absolutely get that. About the Hurley scene, it went more or less like this.
Jack goes into Hurley's room after the doctor tells him Hurley doesn't take meds anymore, Jack goes in and Hurley tells him that the O6 are all dead and there's no point in what they're doing. Then Jack told him that it was nonsense, Hurley asked him what he did that day. Jack answered that he woke up, went to work etc, I think that Hurley called him on living with Kate and Aaron saying that it seemed like he didn't want anything to do with the kid. Jack answered that after the trial he changed idea and then Hurley told him that Charlie visits him more or less regularly (and I guess it implied that he doesn't try to avoid ghost!Charlie anymore). Then Jack asked him what they talked about and Hurley answered that Charlie had a message for Jack and that he wrote it down in order to report it right. So he takes out this piece of paper, unfolds it and reads 'You're not supposed to raise him', at which Jack starts getting angry and makes to leave. He advises Hurley to take the meds and Hurley tells him that Charlie also says that someone is going to visit Jack soon, too (which was later proved true since Jack's dad showed up). During all of this Hurley at one point between saying they were dead and calling Jack on the Aaron thing has started crying and there was this single tear out of his eye which was absolutely heartbreaking. Maybe you'd like it if I split that scene only and put it on youtube or somewhere? It was really touching, I think you'd like it.
He really needs to come and kick off at Jack/Kate in person.
Thankfully Jack did all the job himself ;) I'd have never imagined I'd have approved of him breaking up with Kate while half drunk and on meds but I'm ashamed to say I did..

Date: 2008-05-02 02:06 pm (UTC)The impression I had was that Hurley was pretty much in the acceptance step of the thing even if he was pretty much shaken and probably didn't still embrace the active way of dealing with it instead of the passive. Anyway, I'm cutting that scene soon and upload it as soon as I'm back from the university ;)
No Sayid/Des was BAD. At least last week there was Sayid. *sigh*

And I loved how Charlies message got under Jacks skin. I think Desmond would approve of the message, brutha! And also...okay I'm gonna go wacko too and say that I think Hurley could be right. Maybe the FFs are purgatory (?). Maybe the 06 are all "dead but here". From the looks of the next episode with Horace "I've been dead 12 years" Goodspeed, not to mention Christian, Charlie, etc it seems the dead can still play active roles. Imagine if the finale shocker is 06 leaving by helicopter then the chopper crashing and sinking in the ocean. Now that would surprise me!

Yeah, seems like we get Horace. Which is awesome but damnit why can't I see the only dead one I actually want to see in his spirit self right now? Especially because Locke needs a push in the right direction. This season has been a total failure in Locke terms and the funny thing is that I want to like him. I really want to. But with the current writing, while it isn't OOC, I can't. Since The Brig more or less. I've just cut him an insane amount of slack up to now but if he doesn't even provide me ghost!Boone I may give up on him for good. Thinking that he used to be my fourth favorite character or something..
