I did this last year but it's around again and so I went with that again. Tagged by [livejournal.com profile] polvodestrella and [livejournal.com profile] jate92.

1. Leave me a comment saying anything random, like your favorite lyric to your current favorite song. Or your favorite kind of sandwich. Something random. Whatever you like.
2. I respond by asking you five personal questions so I can get to know you better.
3. You will update your LJ with the answers to the questions. -> You can also answer me in comments if you don't want to do this on the big scale.
4. You will include this explanation and offer to ask someone else in the post.
5. When others comment asking to be asked, you will ask them five questions.

From [livejournal.com profile] polvodestrella:

1. Which is your favorite pairing to write fic for?
That's a question. You picked the only one without a OTP ;) uuuhm... depends from what I want to go for. My actual favorite pairing would be Jack/Boone but I really haven't written much of them. I don't think there's a single pairing I wrote more than three or four fics for. Probably Desmond and Sayid as long as they're together in the same place, not necessarily as a pairing. Writing those two in the same scene makes me ridiculously happy.

2. Which time do you usually go to bed?
About midnight? Can happen sooner or later than that though. Tonight later, but I was out at a concert and ended up checking the FL at this hour.

3. What are you going to do this Summer?
Who knows? My last exam is on July 16th. I don't have a single plan beyond that.

4. The first website you check when you get online:
Uhm, yahoo.it because I get my e-mail from the host. Then LJ.

5. Your favorite song at the moment:
You're Still Standing There by Steve Earle, which I won't upload because it's a few posts down ;)

From [livejournal.com profile] jate92

1) Your favourite Lost man?
Counting everyone who ever passed on Lost, Boone. If dead people don't count, Desmond and Sayid just soon after.

2) Are you weak when it comes to spoilers?
Totally. I read all the minor ones and medium, though I won't read a complete synopsis. I'm quite unspoiled for the finale though, which is a first.

3) What did you want to become when you were a child?
An opera singer. Yeah, except that I can't sing for the life of me.

4) What´s your natural haircolour?
Sort of chestnut brown. Nothing which isn't common ;)

5) Did you ever dream about Lost?
Yes, but I only remember fucked up dreams. There was one in which I was in London with Jack and Sawyer during a terrorist attack and one of them died to save me and the other one. I think Sawyer, though I'm not so sure of it. Clearly I hated it. Once I dreamed that Naveen Andrews was flirting with me which is way more pleasant. Then I'm sure I must have dreamed Boone and Desmond at least once but I've got just two flashes and I can't remember for the life of me.

And that's done. On random things, episode 1x09 of The Wire killed me. Really. It killed me. I won't spoil any further since I'll do a normal post with the second part of S1 but damn, it just... *sighs* guess I'll be off to bed since it's way late and I'm not really coherent.

I had to look which episode was 1.09. Was it the Shardene stuff that killed you? Brace yourself. The next episode is called "The Cost" for a reason.

Your semesters are very different from ours. We run early Sept to early December and then have exams until Christmas. Then we're back in early January until early April with exams until the end of the month. At my school, most course run from September until April but that us unusual. Some universities have a summer session, either a regular four month term or two intense short ones.

So no idea what you'll do come July? Vacation? Work? FIC?

One more day until the finale! Other than the ponytail/suit thing I am completely unspoiled (and still don't understand that one). Shockingly, I wasn't even interested in the sneak peaks floating around. I usually watch those.

Um - something random? This song lyric was in my head today - Call and Answer from the Bare Naked Ladies. ' You think I'm only here to witness the remains of love exhumed.'

I confused the number... I meant The Cost. God I really am confused these days. That killed me. Big time. When they shot Greggs I was completely delusional and I think I'm knee-deep with the Bubbles love. MUCH of it.

Here we have lessons from October to mid December, then exams until February, then lessons again March-May and then exams until July. We also have some possibilities to do exams in September though, but that means you get only a month of vacation the whole year. Oh well ;)

Until July 16th, it'll probably be studying, fic and cursing the heat. Then I guess I'll be on vacation but it could not be until August and I don't even know where. If I spend September in here I might search for some job though, if the two girls I gave Latin lessons to last year don't call me.

I didn't watch the sneak peeks either and I'm as spoiled as you. Yay finale!

That's a nice lyric! So, let's see..

1. Not your favorite book but the one you hated most reading?
2. What's your favorite Simon and Garfunkel song?
3. Who did you root for in Blade Runner?
4. What's your favorite historical era to study/read about?
5. Polar bear, wild boars, four-toed statues or the Smokey? Pick one ;)

The scene before Kima gets shot was so tense. You just knew something bad was going to happen in that car. Bubbles just takes a piece of your heart and never lets go. Keep going it just get better (and worse - sniff).

Not your favorite book but the one you hated most reading?

This is a tough one. I can’t jog my memory by looking at my bookshelf because the offender would not be there. I’m also one to stop reading any book that I don’t really like. Last week I gave up on the Yiddish Policemen’s Union by Michael Chabon. I just couldn’t get into his writing this time even though I loved the Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay. After many a friend recommended The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho, I read it and pretty much hated it. It reminded me of 1001 Arabian Nights crossed with a self help book. It seemed so obvious. In history I hated the book Timber Colony about the forestry industry in New Brunswick. I should keep it by my beside to read when I can’t sleep because ZZZZZ, see it makes me sleepy just by talking about it.

What's your favorite Simon and Garfunkel song?

I’m a bit of a cliché. It’s the version of Bridge Over Troubled Water from their Concert in Central Park. I am also really found of The Boxer from that same album. Then there is Flowers Never Bend in the Rainfall. Lately that one has reminded me of post-Oceanic 6 Sayid.

Who did you root for in Blade Runner?

Well, I ultimately wanted Decker to win, but on my most recent viewing, I was most sympathetic to the toymaker. He just seemed to be from another world and I wanted to protect him. This might have to do with really liking the same actor’s similarly pitiful character on Deadwood. (When you are finished with The Wire, I would suggest to downloading Deadwood.)

What's your favorite historical era to study/read about?

To study, my favourite era is the World War II and postwar era. The world was completely changed by the war, at least for the next three decades and there is so much to analyse and understand. Plus as a researcher, most people used typewriters by then which is great because I hate deciphering hand written memos and correspondence! In terms of reading fiction or watching movies/documentaries, I’m pretty curious about every other historical period, though I’m not a big fan of the history of the British Monarchy at any time.

Polar bear, wild boars, four-toed statues or the Smokey? Pick one ;)

I'm so meh about any of these mysteries. I really care more about the human characters but I will go with Polar Bears because I think they were used in time travel experiments and that breaks my heart. Unless Richard turns out to have 4 toes, I really couldn’t care less about the statue. The boars are only interesting when they are stalking Sawyer. Smokey ended up on my bad list when he killed Eko but not Keamy.

Completely off topic by I just read a rumour here that Eko was supposed to get the flashes/constant storyline but Darlton knew AAA was going to leave by the end of season 3 and brought Desmond back. If it didn’t mean giving up Desmond, I think that would have been really interesting. I loved Mr. Eko. He and Locke were my favourites in season 2. I wonder if Eko would have had a long lost love or would Yemi have been his constant.

God, I saw the following one before going to university and... OMG apart that I think the Bubbles love has definitely planted his roots, when they shot Wallace I wanted to cry. God but it's such a good show. When they shot her I was sort of screaming no at the screen.

You'd agree with my mother on Coelho, I never read it because she hates it do much I never bothered.

You've got some great stuff on the Simon and Garfunkel side. I love that Bridge Over Troubled Water version and I definitely agree on future Sayid and Flowers. And I'm more of a cliché since my favorite is probably The Sound of Silence.

I was most sympathetic to the toymaker

Totally agreed on that. He so didn't deserve that ending, and speaks one who should be Batty partial.

WWII-postwar always was my favorite era, except that here you don't study much beyond the ending. Postwar is more or less a black hole in the history programs.

And I'll agree with the polar boars, since they always were good crack fodder.

I didn't know about the Eko rumor! It surely would have been an interesting storyline, though I guess his constant would have been Yemi. He didn't seem to me the kind for Constant romance. In S2 I also loved him, though his episodes made me miserable because they always showed that yellow beech craft of doom and I hated the sight of it. Well, I surely won't complain about Desmond being brought back.. *blushes*

Even in season 5 I was still mad about Wallace. As much as Bodie grew on me later as a character, I could never forgive him for that moment.

Oh, so he's around until S5? Well, he'd better grow on me too because I was so completely mad about it. I mean, I had sensed that the poor kid wasn't cut for this world much longer when he left the country, but that scene just made me miserable.

My anger about Wallace outlives the series. That was not necessarily a comment on Bodie's participation on the show. No spoilers from me!
