OMG. This was TOO awesome.

So I was there watching the commentary for Ji Yeon and at one point we come to Desmond and Sayid on the freighter. Transcript:

Director: Sayid and Desmond make a cute couple.
Yunjin Kim: I think it's about time we have a gay couple on our show.
Daniel Dae Kim: Very friendly would become extra friendly, then.

Seriously. I love commentaries but this one? Made my day. See, she's a slasher! And the director totally is, too! *giggles*

LOL, I actually only hear the commentaries with the actors only. I don't give a damn about the producers' and I'm not going to listen to Damon and Carlton's, but it's always interesting to hear those. And they're always pretty fun regardless of the episode because they end up rambling about stuff which doesn't have anything to do with it. I do that since I heard the Hearts and Minds one which was kind of an instructive experience ;)

Hehe! That reminds me of a Maggie Grace interview in S1 when a journalist asked her "Who are you hoping will get together on the show?" and she answered "Sayid and Charlie". The cast are all for the Ho-yay. If only the writers were too. I know that Dom said he and Naveen used to read Lost fanfiction. They are all total slashers I tell you.

I want to make a motion for the cast to write that show. I'm sure it'd get WAY more interesting! And I love this thing that they all completely slashers. Also, I remember that pic with Maggie Grace practically squishing together Naveen Andrews and Josh Holloway. The girl is a total slasher, really.

Erm, we're two. I liked it too, not at Constant levels but I did. I wasn't too thrilled with the whole Jin/Sun business, but that scene with Bernard was lovely and hey, how can I not like the GOOD MORNING episode? That's my ship S4 episode damnit ;)

DVD commentaries are fun when the actors do that. I am culprit of having watched the Hearts and Minds one too many times, but hey, there was Mr. S. speaking. I mean ;)

also... now I'm curius: save for the fact that I assume Ian was commenting the episode (and that must've been enough of a reason to watch it),, what did they say in particular in Hearts and Minds to make you consider listening to DVD commentaries such a pleasurable experience?

Well, apart from me kind of squealing when he spoke (it was him, Maggie and I think the editor or someone who wasn't the director) and having to listen to it two times, it was just so interesting. I only watch those with the actors and maybe the director because when it's the actors talking about it, they say a lot of nice behind-the-scenes stories that in most cases are hilarious, but they actually give you insights on how they play the character, what they think about a certain scene and so on. Which is kind of useful when you write fanfic at one point. That one especially was kind of insightful with the whole Boone/Shannon business and it spared me quite some meta-ing ;) The commentaries with producers aren't as good so I don't watch them, but with the actors is just so much fun.
