janie_tangerine: (best lost scene EVER)
[personal profile] janie_tangerine
1. Okay, so, from tomorrow to the day after I'm on a leave of absence because I'm taking a flash trip with [livejournal.com profile] _izu_ and [livejournal.com profile] marlonob to see Duff McKagan + Loaded in concert somewhere near Modena, and I just hope no one posts everything important I might miss. ;)

2. That said, I probably will have another ficlet for the darned alphabet meme later. I can finish that, can I?

3. Memes galore because today I'll need to take breaks from the awesomeness that it's computers in relation to philosophical texts. What joy.

3a. This from [livejournal.com profile] invisiblelove:

1. Reply to this post, and I will pick six of your icons.
2. Make a post (including the meme info) and talk about the icons I chose.
3. Other people can then comment to you and make their own posts.
4. This will create a never-ending cycle of icon glee.

by [livejournal.com profile] isis2015

LOL. Well, this one is mostly because I needed a funny SPN icon and as soon as I saw it I had to grab it. It's a quote from Buffy (which I didn't watch) but come on, it's SO PERFECT for Castiel. I still giggle anytime I look at it, and the actual composition is lovely.

by [livejournal.com profile] prettybutt

Well, that speaks for itself. I always have a Des + blue shirt icon in rotation, and that one had also the personal jesus line which is just perfect for him, I had to grab it. *loves*

by [livejournal.com profile] marylou_gr

This has more than one reason. First, IT'S GORGEOUS. Look at it. Just look at it. The composition and the coloring is pure genius and I just love it. THEN, look at the meaning. I mean, it's one of my favorite scenes in Lost ever and I just don't like Locke well enough anymore to have my Locke icon without Boone in and that part was just... guh. Also, I love that episode. And also, he needs to clean his own mess.

by [livejournal.com profile] mediocrechick

This... well, it's fairly uncomplicated. I need a Vincent icon and I needed a porn icon too, so I found it and took it because it fit perfectly. ;)

by [livejournal.com profile] hobbitholes

Aw, I love this one so much. It's my second Lost OTP and while it's not the main one I use for the pairing it's just... AWWWW. The stick figures are SO CUTE and they're HAND HOLDING and they're freighty love!! *melts*

by [livejournal.com profile] lasamy

I won't ever, ever change this one. Apart from it being PERFECT, it's my OTP, my favorite scene in the history of Lost ever, the defining turning point of my fandom life and come on, the composition and coloring and text are gorgeous and so well put. I ♥ it. Seriously.

3b. This from... like, everyone.

Name a fandom, and I'll give you the scoop on at least three of my unpopular opinions related to that fandom. -> usually, my scoops imply that I like slash way more than any canon pairings, but still.

3c. This from [livejournal.com profile] elliotsmelliot:

Choose one of the TV shows, movies or books you know I’m familiar with, and I’ll tell you which character I’d pick for the following:

Best & Worst Roommate:
Best & Worst Neighbour:
Best & Worst Houseguest:
Who would I get to help me garden?
Who would I get to help me decorate?
Who would I get to help me with any repairs/renovations?
Who would I get to help me move?
Who would I trust to sell me the property?
Who would I invite over for my first dinner?

4. Okay, I'm off to buy groceries and then studying and then editing stuff. -nod-

<33333

Best & Worst Roommate: Best EDDIE of course because he'd crack me up all the time and we'd have some fantastic sex if I convinced him, but the power of my love would win and I'd humor him pretty much always. Worst.. heee, his brother. Apart from being a drag and a jerk, I don't want drugs around the house.
Best & Worst Neighbour: Best... probably Alain, you know he'd help me with stuff and be more or less the courteous neighbor, while the worst... Susan's aunt. Blaaah. Who wants her for a neighbor? Even if maybe Rhea would be worse.
Best & Worst Houseguest:Best... Cuthbert because he'd be a blast at dinner and if Eddie was my roommate I'll let you imagine, worse the guy who kidnapped Jake in the third book. I meeaaan, come on. He wasn't polite at all.
Who would I get to help me garden? Roland. He'd trim the lawn and the flowers just by standing still and looking at them. Or maybe Jake, he could use some normal distraction.
Who would I get to help me decorate? Susannah! She has style.
Who would I get to help me with any repairs/renovations? Er, any of the farmers from the fifth book. They built their houses on their own, lol.
Who would I get to help me move? Jonas & co., they're three and they can handle heavy work.
Who would I trust to sell me the property? Eddie. You'll get why when you get to book six. ;)
Who would I invite over for my first dinner? the entire Roland ka-tet #2 probably. I'd have said Eddie but he's my roommate so...

Tick Tock Man would be a bad neighbour too, he's be popping over all the time with his forehead skin flapping everywhere...ergh. Imagine Flagg as a dinner guest? You'd fall asleep and wake centuries later with burnt dessert.

Good point about TT being the worst neighbor. And OMG LOL FLAGG AS AN HOUSEGUEST SLEEPING ON YOUR COUCH? That = best image ever, even with the burnt dessert.

Amazing icons. The Locke/Boone hurts in all the right places - it is gorgeous and it makes me grieve and get furious once again for what they have done to John Fucking Locke in fucking stupid S5. What for, Lost? What the fuck was all for?

Anyway. Unpopular opinions on Lost. Things you don't agree with the majority about ;);)

And.... the roomate stuff. I'll ask about The Stand, just to see if I remember the characters!

Date: 2009-06-24 09:21 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] janie-tangerine.livejournal.com
Word about the Locke/Boone and Locke in general. Blah. What a waste. *sigh*

And of course!

Unpopular opinions:

1) Uh. So, everyone is usually like, The Long Con is the best Sawyer episode in the history of EVER and I'm like, NO, The Long Con is, except for the flashbacks and Cassidy, completely disappointing. The island stuff made no sense, it just made me irritated and while I loved the Cassidy part the rest was completely forgettable IMHO. Best Sawyer episode = Outlaws. -nod-

2) I like Jack's daddy issues. I seriously am invested in Jack's daddy issues. Not for anything All The Best Cowboys etc. would be my favorite episode if Deus Ex Machina wasn't the best Boone characterization that will ever be. And I'm genuinely interested even if I hate Christian's guts, lol. Maybe I should just say that the fact that I can't dislike Jack period is probably an unpopular opinion in itself, but I can't help myself. And since we're talking Jack, I can't see the deal with his crying.

3) I don't think that Ben is that great of a character. I enjoyed Henry Gale a fucking LOT, but I was sick of Ben by half of S3. I don't see the appeal, as a villain he doesn't interest me in the slightest, any time they want me to feel sorry for him I just don't and while I can enjoy the snark he provides in small doses, I just don't give a damn about him. And I don't like the fact that in S4 Lost became practically the Ben show, because I sincerely don't care. But everywhere I go outside LJ I find a heap of people who would quit watching if he died so I guess it's unpopular. ;)

Aaaand, the Stand, of course!

Best & Worst Roommate: Best, Larry because he'd provide the music and I love the hell out of the guy, worst probably Trashcan. Apart from the lack of hygiene, he's too clingy.
Best & Worst Neighbour: Best: Glen because he'd be awesome to talk to and he'd help me out with stuff, I'm sure. Worst: Nadine. She was creepy.
Best & Worst Houseguest: Best: probably Nick. Worst: er, I can't exactly remember the names right now, but those two idiots on Flagg's side who were more or less head of the operations in Las Vegas.
Who would I get to help me garden? uh, Tom probably. I have this idea that he'd enjoy it.
Who would I get to help me decorate? Lucy, she seemed to have taste.
Who would I get to help me with any repairs/renovations? Stu, who if I remember right was pretty handy in these situations.
Who would I get to help me move? Ralph, because he had the truck in the first place.
Who would I trust to sell me the property? er, Nick. He was the only one who had actually studied something in there, if I'm not wrong.
Who would I invite over for my first dinner? Glen. I have this impression that he'd make excellent conversation.

1. The Long Con has the honor of hosting the most ridiculoius K/S exchange ("what kind of a person do you think I am?" Seriously? Seriously?) until Eggtown came along. Outlaws has the I Never. So... I totally agree. The fb was awesome, though. Weirdly enough, my fav Sawyer ep is EMFH. I am sure the majority, around these days, is LaFakeFleur.

2. I liked Jack's daddy issues when I thought his father was special. When he was disclosed as just as corpse used by Jacob or his evil friend = I am not caring again. But I do like Jack and I am not bothered by his crying.

3. I liked Ben, but didn't in S5, because it became a constest to find out who was lying and, or telling the truth and the story or the character didn't matter at all. And he was a pathetic pawn because these writers are obsessed with getting even bigger bosses all day long. I am expected GOD next season.

Okay. Officially I don't remember anyone but Larry and Stu. LOL.

Date: 2009-06-24 10:18 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] janie-tangerine.livejournal.com
1) Meh, IMHO Long Con > LaFleur, and EMFH is after Outlaws. Nothing beats Outlaws. *sigh* And yeah, that exchange was ridiculous even without shipping K/S, but half of the island dialogue there was ridiculous. Not to mention the whole Charlie butchering deal that started with Fire + Water which before The Little Prince and The Variable was my least favorite Lost episode ever, lol.

2) Ha, well, I didn't give a damn about Christian and I really didn't like the whole bodybag thing either *sigh* but until Jack is Jack and not false!Jack (Locke, I'm looking at you) I guess I'll be invested.

3) And he was a pathetic pawn because these writers are obsessed with getting even bigger bosses all day long. I am expected GOD next season.

That was exactly my problem. I still think it'd have been better if it kept on being a show about random people surviving on an island, but whatever. *sigh*

And ha, well, you remember the best two apart from Nick and Glen. ;) ;) (Ah, Larry, Larry, how hard I crushed on you back then..)

I love all those icons! The Vincent watching your write porn is classic.

How about celebrities and politicians for the house meme? Or if that makes you uncomfortable - Friday Night Lights. (I've only seen the first season and a half.)

Have fun at the concert!

Heee, Vincent and porn are such a OTP! And thank you so much! ♥

Politicians and real people? Oh, I think I can so do it. And I can do FNL too.

Celebrities + Politicians edition

Best & Worst Roommate: Best... uuuhm, Misha Collins who stars in SPN because his head is a crackier place than mine and I wouldn't ever get bored. Worst: my PM, especially because since lately it came officially out that he hires young girls as escorts and then candidates them/gives them a ministry, he'd probably try to molest me and anyway I wouldn't ever want that moron around. *cough*
Best & Worst Neighbour: Best: well, Bruce Springsteen. I'm sure he'd be the best neighbor in existence. Worst... well, I could say my PM again because he'd be up all night with his escort girls and thus would ruin my sleep, but since I don't want to be boring, I'm going for Sarah Palin. I mean, if she was my neighbor I'd move.
Best & Worst Houseguest: Best: Zapatero (the Spanish PM), whom I seriously envy Spanish people. And I'm sure we'd make excellent conversation. Worst, that former premier from Czech Republic who got caught naked in those pictures someone took in my PM's summer house (near a lot of young girls in bikini, of course. The shame.)
Who would I get to help me garden? Michelle Obama, since she grows her own garden. Which I guess would mean that she'd bring Barack too, lol.
Who would I get to help me decorate? Uma Thurman, because she has style and I have a serious crush on her. *cough*
Who would I get to help me with any repairs/renovations? Misha Collins again. Not to repeat myself, but the guy built his own house on his own, I figure he can do the reparations.
Who would I get to help me move? er, uh, either Jared Padalecki or said Duff McKagan that I'm going to see in a day. They're both six feet plus tall, they'd give a hand there I guess.
Who would I trust to sell me the property? uhm. From the politicians, no one. I don't trust politicians to sell me anything lately. With celebrities I can't answer, I'd trust anyone I fangirl enough and it's not a wise policy probably.
Who would I invite over for my first dinner? Rahm Emanuel because he's way cool, the current secretary of the left-ish party here who is seriously in need of some boost of self-assurance, Zapatero again so that he and Emanuel could give our secretary some political advice and then Jon Bon Jovi and His Prettiness so that I could leave the politicians alone and have a good time for myself. *cough*

FNL:

Best & Worst Roommate: best: Herc, because he'd crack me up and he'd have Jason dropping by, or Landry for an alternative because he's exactly the kind of person with whom I hit off instantly. Worst: Lyla because we'd probably kill each other after one hour.
Best & Worst Neighbour: best: duh, the Taylors of course. Worst: the whole Garraty family with the exception of poor Buddy who really was the best of the lot.
Best & Worst Houseguest: best: Matt Saracen because you know he'd be just the perfect guest in all his lovely niceness. Worst: I can't remember if he was in S1 or 2, but that idiot that they had taken on the team who didn't understand what team meant, I can't recall the name but I couldn't stand his guts.
Who would I get to help me garden? Smash. I don't know why but I think he'd accept.
Who would I get to help me decorate? Tyra or Tami, probably the second would be more appropriate but with the first it'd be more fun.
Who would I get to help me with any repairs/renovations? Bill Riggins, who seemed one who knew where to put his hands. And if he wants to bring his brother along to help...
Who would I get to help me move? the whole football team. We'd be done in a second.
Who would I trust to sell me the property? er, probably Coach Taylor. Surely not Buddy and not anyone under thirty years except for Jason, but he really doesn't look like one who would sell properties for a living.
Who would I invite over for my first dinner? *cough* Jason of course *cough*.

Yay for the double answers.

Misha sounds like a really cool guy. I love how often the PM gets dissed here. I think your dinner party sounds fun! I recently read an interview with Rahm Emmanuel. He is very interesting.

I would kill Lyla in an hour and force Landry to dump her body over a bridge. I agree with you about Buddy, he is the best Garrity of them all. I hope my new neighbors are like the Taylors!

Bill Riggins, who seemed one who knew where to put his hands.

This is quite the provocative statement!

Date: 2009-06-24 05:39 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] janie-tangerine.livejournal.com
Misha is seriously awesome. I mean, just the bare fact that he built his house is awesome enough, but then again, he twitters about meeting Queen Elizabeth in the gay fetish section of a porn store. He's like, the incarnation of crack, which I won't pass over anytime soon. And ha, I could diss my PM for ages, but he just deserves it. And Rahm Emmanuel is almost as interesting as his president, and surely my secretary could benefit from some advice.

I would kill Lyla in an hour and force Landry to dump her body over a bridge.

Amen! Or I'd do it myself in order not to shock the poor guy again, but she'd totally deserve it. And I definitely hope you get Taylors-like neighbors!

And ha. Oh God. I hadn't realized how dirty it sounded but it definitely shows which Riggins brother was my favorite. *cough*

About my unpopular DT opinions (for anyone who might be reading, BIG SPOILERS FOR THE ENDING...)

1) I dunno how much of an unpopular opinion it is, but I hated the last half of the last book with a vengeance and the epilogue was the part I hated most. The whole loop thing was just the obvious way to end it and it was also cruel IMHO, while the epilogue was a) cheesy, b) a cheat, c) the best way to cheapen Eddie and Jake's deaths which I'd have been way, way more fine with if they had just stayed that way and d) the worst, worst possible cheapening of Susannah's character he could have ever done. I liked Susannah a lot up until the end, but the bare fact that she left, what she did in the epilogue and the bare fact that she got together with not-Eddie when the real one had said he was going to wait for her in the afterlife was enough to make me want to scream. (By they way: yes, I'm way more attached to Eddie than it'd be sanely reasonable.)

2) I love Detta Walker. For how much I can like Susannah, she totally was the best of all Susannah's personalities including her saner one and Mia. Detta was such a riot, I ♥ her. Not to mention that she had guts, she also slashed like woah and she pwned at maths. In Song Of Susannah she was my hero.

3) I probably am the only person in the world who doesn't think that Mordred was totally ludicrous part of the plot, at least until that ridiculous final scene. I thought that the idea was good and that there was the potential and that if he had just done some slight more work on the spider/guy (and actually if he had NOT forgotten to mention him for four hundred pages or something) he wasn't THAT bad of a character. Then there was that fight in the end which was anticlimatic and completely pointless, not to mention that anyone able to kill Flagg should have been so easy to put down.

3b. I didn't hate Flagg getting offed as soon as it happened; I DEEPLY regretted his loss after said ridiculous Mordred resolution of the plotline up there.

[PS: I actually LOVE everything in the books up to the last half of the seventh. I'm actually not that bitchy, usually. ;)]

2) LOST:

Best & Worst Roommate: Boone for best (hey, I'd totally humor him and pay attention and try to get him into my bed asap *cough* and we'd have awesome times together and WE'D GO TO MARCHES TOGETHER!!!), with Charlie as a second runner because I love bassists like woah and we'd hit off. Ben for worse because he'd totally try to mindfuck me over everything and I don't even like ham.
Best & Worst Neighbour: Best... Frank! We'd have awesome times together, and beer. Worst, probably Jack in his Nirvana!Jack phase, but then I'd probably go there and give him a hug or something. I ♥ Nirvana!Jack, lol.
Best & Worst Houseguest: best, Sayid because you know he'd totally be the perfect guest and he could cook and fix your shower if it broke. Worst, probably Kate. She'd run away in the middle of the night and bring kids and sincerely I don't like her enough and I don't like kids. ;)
Who would I get to help me garden? er, probably Desmond. Just for kicks.
Who would I get to help me decorate? er, uh, Shannon! Decorating looks like her thing, lol.
Who would I get to help me with any repairs/renovations? Sayid, of course! He's everyone's handyman after all.
Who would I get to help me move? Mr. Eko. He's tall and strong, he'd move all the furniture in a heartbeat. ;)
Who would I trust to sell me the property? er, probably Locke pre-crash.
Who would I invite over for my first dinner? Hurley, he'd be the only one to appreciate my cooking.

I liked the loop ending but I didn't really like the cheesey under the beam meet up "Look we have a dog! Just like Oy!" and I hated how she left! I just don't think the Susannah in the other books would have. I think my unpopular thing is I can't stand Roland's Susan. She's just there for sexing! I don't see her appeal at all, I ended up liking the aunt more.

OMG, Roommate Ben would be hilarious! You'd so end up doing the lions share of cleaning and rent paying. Then he'd kill your bunny and stab you in the throat.

Date: 2009-06-24 05:52 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] janie-tangerine.livejournal.com
I think I was too invested in Roland to like the loop ending. IDK, it just seemed unnecessary cruel to send him back there every time, and he wasn't even my favorite character but it just hit me in every single possible wrong way. And yeaaaah, THAT cheesy under-the-beam-meet-up was hideous. Blah. Susannah from the rest of the books wouldn't have done it, I agree. And LOL, well, I like Susan but for all I'm concerned Roland belongs with Eddie. ;) ;) ;)

Yeah, roommate Ben would do THAT exactly. Which is why I'll take Boone. ;)

LOL, surely!

Unpopular opinions:

1) Uh. I think this is unpopular, from what I gathered. But... uh. I ♥ Jimmy Novak a lot and to really serious levels and I don't think that he's an issue with slashing Dean and Castiel or that his presence kills the pairing or anything. There are at least a couple of good excuses if you don't want to actively include him imo, but still, I don't think he's really an impediment. And I reiterate, I LOVE the guy to pieces. (Well, fine, he's named after James Stewart and Kim Novak! What am I supposed to do? ;) )

2) Uh. I don't dislike Jo. I'm not too fond of her either in the sense that she never was my favorite female character or anything (for one, I like her mother a LOT better), but I thought she was okay and I never really felt much of the annoyance with her, even though I don't think she made a good love interest. I didn't even dislike Cassie that much and I like Anna just fine as long as they don't force her paired up with Dean. The only women I never really could stand were Bela and Gen!Ruby. (And I never understood what's the deal with Dean/Layla but IDK whether it qualifies enough to be unpopular, lol.)

3) I find the lack of threesomes in fandom definitely a very, very dramatic issue. I mean, I might be biased because I ship Dean with everything and everyone and he's a constant in most of my pairings, but why are threesomes so hard to find? It's not like when slashing people in SPN it isn't either incest or blasphemy or angel porn or not really ordinary stuff anyway. *cough* And this was probably lame but I couldn't come up with another thing which could be defined unpopular.

As for the roommates...

Best & Worst Roommate: Best: Ash because I mean, he's ASH and he'd go around naked and he'd make my freaking day. And he'd totally get me free wi-fi from somewhere. Worst: Lilith in her child form. I mean, I usually want to strangle cute blonde babies who dress in pink, but she's especially creepy and I wouldn't want to be buying her a cake everyday in order not to die, y'know.
Best & Worst Neighbour: Best: Bobby because you know that he'd be there giving you a hand anytime as long as you pass the holy water test, he can cook, he has any possible skill and I can hide in his bunker if the world ends. Worst: Alistair, mostly because it'd mean that I'd live in Hell and no thanks. Also, he creeps me out.
Best & Worst Houseguest: Best: Andy because he'd totally bring the good stuff and we'd talk about philosophy (and he'd hit off with Ash I think, since Ash is my roommate lol). Worst: Zachariah. I wouldn't want him around for the life of me.
Who would I get to help me garden? you know that the Ghostfacers would love it. ;)
Who would I get to help me decorate? er, Ellen. I liked the Roadhouse.
Who would I get to help me with any repairs/renovations? Dean! He knows how to fix a car, he will know how to repair stuff.
Who would I get to help me move? Sam! He's dark, tall and strong, he'd move my furniture in a heartbeat. Or maybe Castiel, he would just teleport everything.
Who would I trust to sell me the property? Jimmy. I'd trust that face any second, lol.
Who would I invite over for my first dinner? either wee!Sam and Dean just for the kicks of it or, more realistically, Castiel and/or Jimmy. Castiel wouldn't know that my cooking sucks because he doesn't eat and Jimmy would be so hungry that he wouldn't care about the fact that it tastes like nothing at best.

Well, I definitely agree with 1 & 2. Jimmy ♥ Although I like Jo better than Ellen annd I thought Dean and Cassie had very little chemistry. And I don't really understand Dean/Layla either; as far as girl-of-the-week's go, I much prefer Andrea or best-night-of-my-life-Dean!girl (whose name escapes me at the moment). And I don't really read threesome fic, but I think that's really weird, I agree. The fandom has every other weird thing going on, and yet very little of something that's wayyyy more common than incest and angelporn.

Hahaha, I love your answers. Especially the roommate and dinner answers. XD

Date: 2009-06-24 05:01 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] janie-tangerine.livejournal.com
Well, the chemistry is another business. ;) I mean, I don't think that Dean/Cassie was that great chemistry but I can't say I honestly disliked her, lol. And ha, I love Ellen like woah, but I surely didn't hate Jo. AND JIMMY = ♥ ♥ ♥ this fandom lacks Jimmy love. It so does. Poor guy *hugs him*. Er, I was saying, oh yeah, and you're totally right about the Dean girls of the week. Personally my favorite was the one from Monster Movie though. ;) And er, yeah, you said it just right. I just don't get why in SPN fandom I can find every single weird thing but threesomes. Maybe because it means combining two kinds of weird but still.

And ha, you know that the dinner one is totally true and that Ash as your roommate would make your life brighter. ;) Or more badass, at least.

Oh God, this will be FUN.

Best & Worst Roommate: Best: Daniel. He's waaaay tidier than I am, he can fix stuff so he's handy, we're kind of dorks in the same way and we both wear glasses. Worst: er, lol, if he doesn't change his cleaning habits probably Rorschach since if we shared an apartment it'd become the worst dump ever existed, but if he did change his cleaning habits, either Laurie because she smokes and I don't or the Comedian because hey, sexy as hell but I wouldn't want him in my very nearest proximities.
Best & Worst Neighbour: Best: Hollis because I mean, he's Hollis ♥. Worst: probably Manhattan, his experimenting would make a mess most times and keep me awake at night.
Best & Worst Houseguest: Best: I'm going to say Rorschach to both because while he'd be a totally lousy guest and do stuff like sneaking in the kitchen, making a mess at night and generally not exactly respecting your space (not counting the lack of manners) I think that he'd at least try to put a stop to it, since Daniel is my roommate and his bff. ;)
Who would I get to help me garden? er, uh, the black kid that was always at the newsstand, I can't recall the name. Oh, you know he wants to.
Who would I get to help me decorate? Either Sally or Adrian. They both look stylish enough.
Who would I get to help me with any repairs/renovations? Daniel again. I said, he's the technological one.
Who would I get to help me move? Doctor Manhattan, duh. He'd teleport the furniture without lifting a finger. ;)
Who would I trust to sell me the property? er...... either Hollis or Daniel. The others, I wouldn't trust for much, except maybe Rory because he does have his principles but I don't believe he'd know the first thing about selling a house.
Who would I invite over for my first dinner? Rorschach. He has such a ludicrous taste for food that he probably wouldn't mind my disgusting cooking.

"the Comedian because hey, sexy as hell but I wouldn't want him in my very nearest proximities."

LOL SRSLY. You'd wake up and he'd be sitting at the edge of your bed watching you sleep... or doing worse things to you. o_o

Aw, Hollis would be such a great neighbour. ♥

Definitely Adrian for home decorator. He'd probably pay for all of it too, which would be a plus. ;)

I just don't like Locke well enough anymore to have my Locke icon without Boone in
ROTFL such an excellent explanation. And SO something I would be on board with - "WTF this icon needs more pretty!" ;)

I don't have anything very exciting to add, except that all this talk of The Dark Tower makes me want to go back and reread the entire series. Oh! And remember how much I loathed the stupid time-loop ending.

HA, you on the DT board too? AWESOME! I re-read parts of it from time to time even if I do avoid the seventh book like the plague. That ending was stupid and I hated every second of it apart from the part when Roland stood in front of the tower and did his thank-you-speech. ;)

I think I really need to do a re-read -- I read the first ... four? (I think) waaay back in middle school, and then the last three a couple years ago, so I'm really fuzzy on the details.

Yeah, I liked that too -- otherwise, bleeeeergh. Not cool, S. King. Not cool.

PS: I randomly saw an episode of SPN tonight (which almost never happens) -- the one where Jensen Ackles does the random Eye of the Tiger rock-out at the end? My fiance and I just about killed ourselves laughing.

OMG, you saw Yellow Fever then! *doubles up laughing* LOL, the Eye Of The Tiger is a classic. It was such a good episode, even if it lacked the SPN guy I'm currently obsessing on. But it was fun throughout, and the Eye Of The Tiger thing was some of the best stuff they ever had the grace to air.

Bleeeeergh was exactly my reaction. For all I'm concerned, it ended when they reunited in the first part of VII *sigh*. What a waste, mr. K, what a waste.
