catching up entry with a lot of memes and stuff

Or, hi, this is the way long entry that I always end up doing when I don't update for two weeks.

1. Hii! *waves* how are things going? Between LJ not notifying me stuff and RL things clearly I've been around even less, but I think I might be caught up on notifications, or most of them, so expect a backlog of comments.

2. That said, RL is going nicely enough. I had a lovely time with wandersfound which included her experiencing the true Italian driving (which wasn't exactly flattering for me, but whatever), the both of us getting stuck in my elevator for some ten minutes before my dad and another guy basically forced the doors open by mere force and walking around a damn lot. Then thankfully all the classes I'm taking this round are good and in two cases on three I'm actually interested, so since I really didn't have much choice I won't be the one complaining. Now I should bring myself to study some before May, maybe.

3. Since I wanted to try the new camera, I did that what's in your bag meme that was around last week.

1. Take a picture of your bag.
2. Now dump everything out and neatly adjust them, and take a picture (no matter how embarrassing).
3. Talk about the items inside.

There's no cellphone as I always keep it in my pocket rather than in my bag. Anyway, from left to right, from the top.

a) convenient packet of tissues. This might be present during summer as well, or it might not.
b) random 'currently being read book', that in this case is also convenientely slim. Right now it's also saying that I'm trying to fill my Vonnegut gap since I could have read a lot more of his books.
c) Moleskine notebook which is made for music stuff. Right now the best thing about it is that it has an entire section for playlists which means I can plan fanmixes in it, but it's pretty useful.
d) Random small notebook that I bought in the Edimburgh airport while trying not to fall asleep at five AM. I don't use it much but it's good for random notes.
e) identity card.
f) wallet.
g) mp3 reader, which is by the way named Jimmy. (If it had a surname it'd be Novak. Yeah, yeah.)
h) small holder for pens/pencils. I have probably four pens, one pencil and an highlighter inside it.
i) keys for the house.
j) small planner, which I use very randomly but I need to force myself to use it. It'd be useful, if I just didn't forget to write stuff in it.
k) card holder. Meaning I use it for stuff like bookshop cards, the public transport subscription etc. etc. I'm not putting cards in my wallet since I had another one stolen ages ago and it was hell to block everything.
l + m) random pens that didn't fit in the holder. Apparently I can't go around if I don't have like five pens with me.

Everyone probably has realized already that I like pink things, probably. Also in that moment I didn't have my usual notebook where I also took notes during JIB last year, but it's usually inside as well.

4. And since I didn't work on my procrastinating on fic habit, I did that WIP meme as well even if I'm late-ish. Long list, but since my titles are mostly cracked out maybe it'll be half fun to read. Also some of these are actually done already and I had forgotten to post them, wtf.

... I'm half-sure there's a lot of stuff missing but if I have no idea where said stuff is then I doubt I'll ever finish it. Now I should probably post the four on that list that are done, but... whatever. That's how I name my documents. Shows how many times I actually have titles already.

5. Remember when I said I'd have like there to be a comprehensive Dark Tower community around? We're (as, I'm XD) working on that. I need to be out of town for two days from tomorrow so I probably won't start spamming you with stuff before the end of the week but it'll exist very soon. *crosses fingers*

5b. Related to that: NEW DARK TOWER BOOK OUT NEXT YEAR. This makes me SO HAPPY I CAN'T EVEN. NEW DARK TOWER OMG YESSS. Mostly: new DT that includes more Eddie, which is totally awesome enough because it means I can ignore the movie news. And since it's pre DTVII I can totally ignore what happened in the last two hundred pages.

6. So I haven't managed to catch up with the last SPN ep reviews, but I thought it was a very good episode but goddammit why if you kill someone I don't like you need to kill someone else I like to go with them? I mean, I won't be the one missing anti-wrinkle cream soup, but I didn't mind Gwen and OMG RUFUS BRB WEEPING FOREVER ;__________; I sorta was spoiled so I didn't break down cursing but dammit why killing all the cool people, whyyy. Also Jensen looked prettier than usual. Also I'm pretty sure that the situation with some evil thing being inside one person and no one knowing inside whom it was came from some movie that I'm sure I've seen but I can't remember what the heck it was. Was that the John Carpenter version of The Thing? Idk it's been bugging me since seeing that episode but I'm pretty sure it was it. Also who else was doing Bobby/Rufus^? *hides* because I kind of was. Anyway between that and the title my 'omg I love references' self was very happy. I thought it was a good episode. Which I'd have totally liked better if Rufus didn't have to bite it.

And dammit when is April 22nd or whenever it is that they air the western episode? Because I want it like burning.

7. Since I don't have anything more worthwhile to say except complaining about my own procrastination, and since I need to learn to use that new camera of mine, I'll recycle a meme I did some six months ago.

Jo/Cas and Jimmy/Cas/Dean? I'M NOT SURE WHICH OF THESE I SHOULD BE MORE EXCITED ABOUT. I never thought much about Jo/Cas until I read this one the end!verse fic and um yeah. That totally works. And Jimmy/Cas/Dean and any variation thereof is always glorious, so I'll be sitting over here patiently waiting for the day when you finish that. :D

Re: SPN -- RUFUS. ;___; I'd been pretty much spoiled and expecting it but still. They are killing way too many awesome people this season and I'm officially scared for the ones that are left. Namely Balthazar, but OMG NO THEY CAN'T DO THAT TO ME. And I'm a little worried about Cas too but I very much prefer not to think about that possibility.

And yes. The western episode. It cannot be time for that soon enough. :D

Lol dear the Jo/Cas thing was born out of a twitter conversation where me and someone else were like 'if Cas really had to pop his cherry with a recurring girl THEN JO WOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER THAN MEG' but I'll finish it at some point. And ha the Jimmy/Dean/Cas one is supposed to be for a birthday so I -will- finish it at some point. As soon as I plot it out.

Buaha that one is the apocabb fic so it'll most surely be posted some time next month. Aaaand uhm, on one side it's angstier and someone dies (not Jimmy though) but on the other it ends a lot more nicely so.. idk sorry in advance if you weep. ;)

I also swear I will finish that Lost one. WHEN I PLOT THEM. I swear I need to know how to end a story if I want to finish it..

(and yeah, exactly. Or at least, that since it's highly probable that it might not be a good adaptation he's giving us more so that at least we have that.)

I haven't seen it but a bunch of people in my FL do. From what I gathered it's pretty funny even if last season was more even than this one, and I also saw some clips online which were adorable. Also it's a sitcom so it wouldn't take much to catch up with it I guess, but that's all I know.

I'm so freaking excited about that series that I'll have to watch it anyway, even if it sucks. I wonder if there are news about the casting, but I think not...? I have been already horrified enough at seeing Dylan Dog's American adaption, now I'm pessimistic about everything. (Personal opinion, and I have no idea about the movie, I just disliked the trailer.)

Oh, I've seen the first episode and I must say it's pretty adorable! I also identify with one of the 'losers', which might or might NOT be a good thing, whatever. The lead is pretty hot in a snarky way too...ok I guess I'm going from fishing info about the show to recommending it back to you in the space of a comment!

UGH DON'T TALK ME ABOUT DYLAN PLEASE. I've been reading that comic for... pretty much more than half of my life (I'm almost 23 and I started at 10) and whenever I hear 'Dylan Dog the movie' I die inside a little. Not really joking there. That trailer was puke-worthy and from what I know if I ever watch it entirely I won't make through the end without a healthy dose of swearing. :////

Uhm, shows that I have strong feelings about it, huh? But yeah I'll end up seeing the DT stuff anyway. I'm pretty sure I won't like it but whatever, can't be worse than that Dylan crap. (GET RUPERT EVERETT DAMMIT.)

My file names mostly express my feelings at the moment I save the document, lol. The wtfromcom? Sure! Basically Sawyer, Frank, Miles & Richard all live together post finale, there's Miles/Richard UST everywhere and so Sawyer and Frank are like fuck it, we're hooking them up. Except that I didn't plan how and I'm still at that point. XD

I can photograph it but I doubt much will be distinguishable... ;)

6. i haven't seen that movie... a lot of people were talking about the resemblance to the X-Files ep called ice i think. i've never seen it so i didn't pick that up. for me, it sounded like the worm mindbug thing from the Deltora Quest sequel trilogy by Emily Rodda ;) so basically, the writers can't come up with original ideas -_-

6. RIIIGHT, it was the X-Files ep too! I went to check the plot for that movie and I remembered right, there was the exact same situation, but I think the X-Files ep did the same thing and so yeah they probably stole from both. ORIGINALITY, WRITERS, WE LIKE IIITTTT.
