1. Bon Jovi was glorious. Like, GLORIOUS. (Two words: DRY COUNTY. I still don't compute that.) Post with pics/concert review shall follow shortly, but atm I feel way too crappy for anything that long. Or, I think it's a combination of not-really-sleeping for twelve hours in a train cabin with a seventeen degrees AC and spending another four hours on another train with the same kind of AC while the temperature outside was over thirty and of getting burned while walking around, but since I've been back I've been feeling like crap. And I get random headaches. I'm pretty sure it was the AC, but anyway, I've been writing this whole thing in breaks so I can't go sorting pics and stuff right now. STILL IT WAS SO WORTH IT OMG BON JOVI.

2. Apparently the Dark Tower adaptation isn't happening for now. Or at least, apparently not with the people attached to the project at the moment. And er, I'm totally not sorry about it because there wasn't anything about it which was getting me even remotely excited, from Javier Bardem to the format itself. let's not talk about the Eddie rumors shall we. I'll be here hoping that HBO sees how well Game of Thrones did and picks it up. Or that someone else with better ideas picks it up because either you do it well or I don't need it to happen.

4. So, while in Udine and after I realized I had seen everything I had to except for museums that were closed, I found myself a park bench and finished A Feast for Crows while waiting for lasamy to get into town. Clearly I managed to burn an arm and half of my neck because it was quite sunny and I should know better, but anyway, I'm done with that one.

5. Okay, I've been doing this entry in chunks for half of this afternoon/evening so I guess I'll cut this here and hope that tomorrow I feel like staring at a screen for more than twenty minutes. Also because I need to inflict some Bon Jovi related gushing. *is still ecstatic*

Or, hi, this is the way long entry that I always end up doing when I don't update for two weeks.

1. Hii! *waves* how are things going? Between LJ not notifying me stuff and RL things clearly I've been around even less, but I think I might be caught up on notifications, or most of them, so expect a backlog of comments.

2. That said, RL is going nicely enough. I had a lovely time with wandersfound which included her experiencing the true Italian driving (which wasn't exactly flattering for me, but whatever), the both of us getting stuck in my elevator for some ten minutes before my dad and another guy basically forced the doors open by mere force and walking around a damn lot. Then thankfully all the classes I'm taking this round are good and in two cases on three I'm actually interested, so since I really didn't have much choice I won't be the one complaining. Now I should bring myself to study some before May, maybe.

3. Since I wanted to try the new camera, I did that what's in your bag meme that was around last week.

1. Take a picture of your bag.
2. Now dump everything out and neatly adjust them, and take a picture (no matter how embarrassing).
3. Talk about the items inside.

4. And since I didn't work on my procrastinating on fic habit, I did that WIP meme as well even if I'm late-ish. Long list, but since my titles are mostly cracked out maybe it'll be half fun to read. Also some of these are actually done already and I had forgotten to post them, wtf.

5. Remember when I said I'd have like there to be a comprehensive Dark Tower community around? We're (as, I'm XD) working on that. I need to be out of town for two days from tomorrow so I probably won't start spamming you with stuff before the end of the week but it'll exist very soon. *crosses fingers*

5b. Related to that: NEW DARK TOWER BOOK OUT NEXT YEAR. This makes me SO HAPPY I CAN'T EVEN. NEW DARK TOWER OMG YESSS. Mostly: new DT that includes more Eddie, which is totally awesome enough because it means I can ignore the movie news. And since it's pre DTVII I can totally ignore what happened in the last two hundred pages.

6. So I haven't managed to catch up with the last SPN ep reviews, but ( short reaction under here )

7. Since I don't have anything more worthwhile to say except complaining about my own procrastination, and since I need to learn to use that new camera of mine, I'll recycle a meme I did some six months ago.

2. Personal news (ooh! .... not really): number one, I took up yoga again (was high time I did it) and damn I needed to do other exercising that isn't walking. Number two, I have a German course starting tomorrow. Be ready for me headdesking for the next months and sending PMs for all you German people in my FL for grammar advice. XD (Okay no I won't stalk you for THAT, really, but the occasional help request might happen.) Still, I need to do it at some point and I can't do another degree without at least reading it.

3. Late thanks are late: Christmas cards! Er. Sorry, really, I never really managed to do a proper post and then I got sidetracked a bunch of times and uh, I hope it's okay if I thank everyone whose card I got at once? 4. I signed up for spn_j2_bigbang AGAIN. Except that I really don't know what I should do for it (last year I did). I'm contemplating doing the regency Dean/Cas AU I had in program for the au_bingo card but that I'm sure would need at least 40000 words and I doubt I can get that and the rest done by February which is the deadline, but idk if I get a better idea I might see. Also ha lol I still haven't started anything for apocabigbang. I'm not that worried because I have a 12000-to-edit apocafic that I haven't gotten around to post which I can still use if I don't manage to decide myself before the deadline, but still, go me really. (PS: anyone who watches SPN and has read The Stand who'd want to do some brainstorming? I wanted to do a crossover but I'm undecided.)

5. Golden Globes thoughts: the only movie that was released here of the ones running was The Social Network, which I haven't seen, therefore I have no serious thoughts. But damn Colin Firth's Italian is excellent. Does he want to have a conversation with me?

6. TV: I'm catching up with Leverage which I'm loving, but as I'm in mid-S2 I'll just do a post for everything when I'm done with S3. Also, I was the latest one to the party to watch BBC!Sherlock, about which I probably have thoughts to share but I don't want to burden this post, so maybe I'll do it along with Leverage. For now I can just say that the law of 'the character Janie likes can never be the main one' strikes again because the one I'm most invested with is Lestrade. Er. Well he's Rupert Graves, dammit, I've been fangirling him since I was sixteen! (and he aged so well. Mm.) Anyway will probably do a serious post later this month. But anyway, if anyone in the fl except for thandie has some Sherlock/Lestrade recs, uhm, pretty please do want? ;)

1. So, in my 'OMG I NEED TO FINISH THE GODDAMN THESIS' frenzy which won't sadly be over until Friday (but at least I'm far enough), I totally neglected a bunch of birthdays. 2. Okay so uh I have an exchange fic due in three days and I haven't started it. Eee. Well, tomorrow I'm off work so if I can work on the thesis in the morning/early afternoon I'll see to do it in the evening or something. Why am I always so last minute? I hope it teaches me regarding the master's degree, because if I end up like this in the next two years... okay, no. *doesn't think about it* why is procrastination so tempting? (Reading: why did I have to find out that there exists a free game on stephenking.com which is Dark Tower inspired? Sadly it ended too soon once I figured it out, but it made me lose enough time. Ugh, procrastination.)

3. Switching topic happily and without care for subject.. my PM's comment on students protesting because two weeks before the confidence vote they're approving the most hideously stupid reform that has ever been conceived: 'if you're real students, you'd be home on books' (and not worrying about the fact that you're destroying public university). It made me wish I was out marching too, but I can't because I'm apparently a real student and I need to get my degree, ugh. I feel so bad.

2. HI EVERYONE!

I realized I hadn't posted anything serious in like two weeks. Only reason: I clearly arrived at the last moment with the pedagogy presentation. Now it's sent and done and I'll go there to get my goddamn mark on the 16th and then I'm DONE. Forever, hopefully. But I practically spent all last week taking notes, trying to make a serious presentation, failing at it, re-formatting all of it and by the end I just wanted to die of boredom. But, I'm done now, so yay? Now the other problem is that I have another exam and there aren't the dates like ANYWHERE, but I'm not worrying about it until next week starts. ://

6. Pheeew. I feel good having those out of my way. Anyway, that's pretty much everything for now, but hey, a real entry! That isn't reposting fic or spamming! It feels nice. ;) (though wait for this weekend for me re-posting the five acts fic and a bunch of other stuff that I'll catch the occasion to re-post).
