So,
darknumb tagged me and I gladly do it. Even if I'm running out of weird facts, it makes me look like a broken record or something ;)
The rules in this game of tag are simple -- once you have been tagged, you must write a blog with ten weird, random things, little known facts or habits about yourself. At the end choose 10 people to be tagged and list their names.
Not tagging anyone. Whoever wants to do it, please do ;)
And now I'll be off to the Original John Locke I think.

1. I don't tan. Either I remain as white as I am (with a veery high protection) or I burn, and kind of badly, too. I don't think I ever got a serious tan my whole life.
2. In my early teenager-y days (more or less when I was twelve years old), after reading Anne Frank's diary, I became seriously interested in concentration camps and WWII. I still have a shelf of the library which has only WWII-concentration camps-Jews' persecution related books, i had read quite a lot of non-fiction about it and I had also brought it as a primary subject in the exams we have here from mid-school to high school. It's probably one of the historical subjects I've got most knowledge about and the sole mention of Nazism/neo-Nazism makes me sick. I've probably snapped at too many people that I heard joking about it. And I'd really want to visit Auschwitz.
3. I don't listen to much Italian music, don't watch many Italian movies (only old ones), don't read much current Italian literature and don't watch our TV. The only Italian thing I love beyond sanity are probably comics. I've got way too many, 80% from the same publisher and I rarely read foreign ones (some Japanese ones but I haven't for at least a couple of years). And I've been crushing for ten years on the protagonist of my favorite one, which would be a guy living in London which investigates about horror stuff. Though in its early years it also touched social issues and was a terrific one. Right now they're on a meh quality but I can't not buy it.
4. Probably everyone reading already knows that, but I've got a massive Clint Eastwood crush. In every period of his life. There's a reason why he's number two on my favorite men ever list.
5. I hate driving. I have the license but probably thanks to my terrible ex driving teacher I simply hate it. It's stressful, I can't relax, I get nervous and it gives me headaches. I don't ever plan on having a car. I'm alright with walking and public transportation.
6. When at home, I usually wear pajama pants and a flannel shirt which was my father's once.
7. When a book grabs me, I can be very fast at reading. I finished The Count of Monte-Cristo in three days and the second and third Dark Tower books in a total of four days.
8. I can't for the life of me understand how Doctor Who works. It's frustrating because I read summaries and stuff but I just can't grasp the concept. Enlighten me, anyone?
9. I've got an irrational disgust of worms and bugs. Well, maybe only the worms is irrational because the kitchen here a couple of years ago was invaded by bugs and I can't stomach the sight of one since then.
10. I have terrible dream patterns. I almost never remember what I dream at night. If I do, which is no more than one tenth of everything I dream about altogether, half of the time it's a nightmare (and pretty disturbing). The other half is weird or weird and disturbing. I actually remember one single good dream every year and it's been a pattern for some time. Usually it's someone famous I have some crush on with whom I get to flirt, but stops before anything serious happens. This year it was Naveen Andrews, last was sort of John Frusciante and the year before Scott Weiland. The fact that this year already happened means I can forget to remember decent dreams until next December at least.

Date: 2008-05-06 12:42 pm (UTC)What do you want to know, anything specific? Shamelessly copied from Wikipedia:
The Doctor stays alive by regenerating himself, and during the Old Series - ran from 1963 to 1989 - there were seven Doctors during that time. And of course the Eight Doctor in the 90's TV movie, until 2005 when the new series started, with the Ninth Doctor aka Christopher Eccleston.
So umm, ask anything you want I kinda suck at explaining things. :D

Date: 2008-05-06 02:19 pm (UTC)Aha, so he doesn't die. Interesting. I could probably like that, in opposition to Lost ;) though I'll probably check Torchwood first. I had liked that one episode I watched..

Date: 2008-05-06 02:31 pm (UTC)Well, he can die if he doesn't regenerate. And it's mainly meant for the whole family to watch, so there aren't that many character deaths when it comes to the main cast. But otherwise, RTD can go a bit nuts when it comes to killing people. Because everything has to be ~*~epic~*~. And Torchwood is worth checking out, if you can stand the bad and cracktastic writing and acting. Okay, in both DW and TW. But they're both awesome and very addicting when you finally get into them. Although they're very different from each other, obviously.
Which Torchwood episode you saw?

Date: 2008-05-06 02:44 pm (UTC)I don't have problems about the crack. I live with crack ;) I mean, I write fic where Desmond and Sayid cook haggis, I can watch everything or sort of ;) I saw that episode where there was this guy who owned an alien eye or something like that which was hit by a car after a row with two friends of his. So there was Gwen (I think it was the name?) who investigated on the case and his ghost followed her around and kinda fell in love with her and then he saved her life at his funeral before going to heaven or something like that. I had liked it I have to say ;)

Date: 2008-05-06 03:06 pm (UTC)And if you first want to check Doctor Who with just one episode, I definitely recommend 3x10 Blink. Nothing important to main plot happens in it, and even though the Doctor isn't even in it that much it's just too good not to recommend.

Date: 2008-05-06 01:15 pm (UTC)I went through a Holocaust phase as a teen and I count The Diary of Anne Frank as one of my favourite books. My itinerary for Europe, whenever I go, has her house and Auschwitz on it. Have you read The Boy Who Loved Anne Frank by Ellen Feldman? It's an alternative history that imagines Peter survives and immigrates to the US where he remains haunted by his time in the attic. Speaking of reading quickly, I read it in one day!
I hate driving too. I actually only have my permit.

Date: 2008-05-06 02:07 pm (UTC)Though I've never been to Auschwitz I've been to her house. It's been great to go there, after all I had had all the house plan in mind for years and I was just kind of overwhelmed. I haven't read that book but on my next book trip (which should be soon) I'll go searching for it, it looks really interesting!

Date: 2008-05-06 01:24 pm (UTC)Per quanto riguarda il punto 7... è un po' che non trovo più libri che mi appassionano fino a quel punto, ma quando mi capita, sono capace di leggere anche fino alle 4 di notte. ;)

Yes, yes, yes. Same here.
8. I watched 1 episode and it really wasn´t for me. Maybe I just don´t get british humour...

Date: 2008-05-06 07:32 pm (UTC)5. It all depends whether you have a good teacher or not. Mine was an idiot who taught males to drive breaking the limit while telling girls they sucked at driving and after twenty lessons with him I was going insane. Not talking about him bringing his girlfriend along and making out with her (he was on the passenger seat and she in the back) while I was supposed to drive. So yeah, I hate that, but it's not actually hard. If you get a good teacher you'll be luckier ;) though I really don't need cars, no.
8. Well, I understood what's it about now because they explained it to me in very basic terms but it took me six months or so ;)

Date: 2008-05-07 11:36 pm (UTC)8) Man, I'm English and even I don't get Doctor Who. I think it's just an immortal fellow bouncing around time and space in a phonebox with various female sidekicks. Good tea time TV.

Date: 2008-05-08 06:35 am (UTC)8) Someone enlighted me up there and looks like it's more or less like that. I figured it was waaaaaay more complicate! Clearly that other TV show has fucked so much with my head that I can't conceive that a plot line can be simple. *shrugs*
