These were all supposed to be in icons, but my photoshop has decided that it needs to crash like a car going thrice the speed limit which also kept me from posting about Bonnie today & yesterday since I had posts heavy on graphics in program. as soon as it works again...

Which wasn't going to fly. So I picked up the books and went searching by hand. Most of these are from ACOK and ASOS because it took me two hours to get through those two and it wasn't even her POV, so the ones from AFFC I had because I had noted them in other occasions, but I might do an edition of AFFC later when I do meta about it. womenlovefest. My first day ended up being some very wordy meta that was probably so wordy because I've been thinking Brienne meta for a month and never wrote it down. Actually it got too long so I'm splitting it in two parts.In my for now mostly lurking time around ASOIAF, the most bashing I’ve seen about Brienne mostly consists in the following arguments (from what I’ve seen): a) she’s boring and her POVs drag (probably shouldn’t be considered strictly bashing, but if you wish a character dead because their POVs are dragging I’d say it is), b) she’s too naïve to survive in a place like Westeros (and therefore unrealistic), c) she’s there just to be Jaime’s moral compass and the rest of her story is a waste of space, d) she’s there to appeal to feminist readers only (and therefore she’s useless).
Spoilers up to AFFC (mostly for her backstory - though there are some pretty huge ones - and for someone she meets – for the rest, strictly facts-related spoilers are up to ASOS).

They gave me respectively: ASOIAF, vampire porn, SPN and Chuck, and GOT (which I consider ASOIAF since thanks to chickenpox meds I still haven't seen the show - this is getting ridiculous and I'm starting sometime in the next couple days, dammit), SPN, vampire porn and Lost. Since I was given the same fandoms in three out of four cases (SPN, Vampire Diaries and ASOIAF), for those three I gave you my two favorite characters instead of just one. ;) Re ASOIAF: the white gaps mid sentences are all spoilers, most of them mild enough, but I figured that instead of beating around the bush I'd just white them out and specify the book so whoever read it can highlight and whoever hasn't can just skip forward.

Hopefully I'll post it tomorrow? I should, at some point before S7 starts. Along with a couple other things I managed to finish on the trip back. Hopefully I'll also manage to study some and get back to university to check that other office that was closed today, but the way things are, I'm half-willing to bet that they'll tell me I should have gone somewhere else altogether.

2. I finished A Dance With Dragons. I'll make a detailed reaction post this evening. I'm still feeling positively mind fucked in the good way. Also my favorite POV was someone that never in a million years I'd have thought could be my favorite POV. That still boggles me more than anything else.
3. I'm caught up with Leverage! The episode with the Van Gogh painting was positively awesome/adorable. The last one aired was imo the crackiest crack that show ever cracked. But it was good fun, nothing to say against that. XD
4. I have another round at the dentist's tomorrow. I just hope he decides that everything is going fine and that he doesn't go digging around there again.
5. Meanwhile I'll go finishing editing fic I'd have finished editing a week ago if not for the dental mess, and to go get myself a concert ticket. The ADWD reaction post is hopefully arriving later. And maybe then I'll catch up with all the comments I didn't catch up with during the LJ downtime yesterday. :|

1. Bon Jovi was glorious. Like, GLORIOUS. (Two words: DRY COUNTY. I still don't compute that.) Post with pics/concert review shall follow shortly, but atm I feel way too crappy for anything that long. Or, I think it's a combination of not-really-sleeping for twelve hours in a train cabin with a seventeen degrees AC and spending another four hours on another train with the same kind of AC while the temperature outside was over thirty and of getting burned while walking around, but since I've been back I've been feeling like crap. And I get random headaches. I'm pretty sure it was the AC, but anyway, I've been writing this whole thing in breaks so I can't go sorting pics and stuff right now. STILL IT WAS SO WORTH IT OMG BON JOVI.
2. Apparently the Dark Tower adaptation isn't happening for now. Or at least, apparently not with the people attached to the project at the moment. And er, I'm totally not sorry about it because there wasn't anything about it which was getting me even remotely excited, from Javier Bardem to the format itself.let's not talk about the Eddie rumors shall we. I'll be here hoping that HBO sees how well Game of Thrones did and picks it up. Or that someone else with better ideas picks it up because either you do it well or I don't need it to happen.

So, while in Udine and after I realized I had seen everything I had to except for museums that were closed, I found myself a park bench and finished A Feast for Crows while waiting forlasamy to get into town. Clearly I managed to burn an arm and half of my neck because it was quite sunny and I should know better, but anyway, I'm done with that one.

2. Apparently the Dark Tower adaptation isn't happening for now. Or at least, apparently not with the people attached to the project at the moment. And er, I'm totally not sorry about it because there wasn't anything about it which was getting me even remotely excited, from Javier Bardem to the format itself.let's not talk about the Eddie rumors shall we. I'll be here hoping that HBO sees how well Game of Thrones did and picks it up. Or that someone else with better ideas picks it up because either you do it well or I don't need it to happen.
3. Meme day three. Let's see how much slower I can manage to be with this.

4. So, while in Udine and after I realized I had seen everything I had to except for museums that were closed, I found myself a park bench and finished A Feast for Crows while waiting forlasamy to get into town. Clearly I managed to burn an arm and half of my neck because it was quite sunny and I should know better, but anyway, I'm done with that one.

Jul. 5th, 2011 01:32 am1. So, second final went exactly opposite first final, which means that I couldn't have aced it more if I tried. Now if the third goes as the second, it might be awesome.
2. I'm seeing Bon Jovi in two weeks. ITEM ONE FROM MY BUCKET LIST ABOUT TO BE CROSSED. :DDD
3. Now, since I'm having finals I'm like, I shouldn't watch TV. Which doesn't mean I haven't seen Leverage, which is damn good to have back. Also, summer show! It's nice to have something to look forward during the summer. The premiere was lovely for team interactions, but I didn't exactly got involved in the scam. This week was good even if not awesomeness level, but I liked the whole set up a lot. Which also means that my icon doesn't mean that I actually watched Game of Thrones - will do that after finals because it needs my full attention.
3. BUT, since I couldn't resist and I needed a break, I spent the weekend reading A Clash of Kings.

Also it took me half an hour to write all that ASOIF stuff, which means it's 1.30 AM, which means the rest I had planned for this entry will be in the next one because I can barely see straight after reading, uuuhm, like, 600 pages in ten hours. I take my reading very seriously, don't I.
