janie_tangerine: (supernatural dean/cas finale #2)
Title: the apartment
Author: [livejournal.com profile] janie_tangerine
Claim: The Apartment
Genre: romance, angst-ish.
Pairing(s): Dean/Castiel, Dean/Anna
Rating: PG13
Word Count: 14500 (main fic); 4400 (extra scenes)
Disclaimer: Supernatural isn't mine, The Apartment's script belonged to Billy Wilder and IAL Diamond (I suppose - also they're both deceased, so I just hope they won't hate me too much), nothing is mine except the changes I made to the original plot.
Warnings: attempted suicide, quite a lot of throwing up, touch-and-go mentions of prostitution in the Dean POVs. The first two kinda come with the package, though.
Summary: Castiel is an accountant in an insurance company who unwillingly lends out his apartment to his bosses for their extramarital affairs. Dean runs the elevators in the same company (and Castiel is quite not so incidentally in love with him) and he's dating the boss's niece. The situation comes to drastic consequences. But then again it's the way it crumbles, cookie-wise.
A/N: I just couldn't resist when I saw that I could claim that movie - it's one of my absolute favorites ever and I had been toying with the idea of writing a D/C take on it for ages. That stated, I fear that this is way less funny than the original was, but these people tend to make me write angst. Also, I couldn't decide if I wanted to make it just Cas's POV or alternate it, and then I decided to use Cas's POV only for the story and then write an extra with ten snippets of Dean POV because I figured I could show his side of things. But it's an extra - the full story is supposed to work on its own.
A/N 2 & art: major and heartfelt thanks to [livejournal.com profile] cassiopeia7 for betaing this with a, uh, restricted frame, time-wise, and then made an unprompted absolutely lovely banner for it. Which I love to pieces. ♥

janie_tangerine: (supernatural dean/cas swan song #1)
Fix-it urgency strikes again.

Title: all you need is love
Pairing/Characters: Dean, Castiel, Sam, Bobby, Balthazar, Chuck. (if you want to see it with Dean/Cas-slash-rose-tinted glasses feel free to.)
Word count: ∼4100
Rating: PG13
Spoilers: coda for 6x22.
Warnings: sort of really cracky premise.
Disclaimer: look at the summary. I don't own SPN, I don't.
Summary: wherein Dean asks God for a sign and God provides one. Even if it's not what Dean would have expected. Or, alternatively, wherein a Beatles song is the key for making everyone happy.
A/N: this has no excuse except that yesterday I was walking around with my mp3, I put All You Need Is Love on and I had the idea and it wouldn't get out of my head. This is eventually way more feel-good than the other fix-it I did but then again read the title.

You shouldn’t ask yourself what would I do. Or what would Jesus do. Or what would Buffy do, if you prefer something closer to your area of expertise. Ask yourself, instead, what would John Lennon do? )

Title: Play It All Night Long
Author: [livejournal.com profile] janie_tangerine
Artist: [livejournal.com profile] _izu_
Pairing: Dean/Castiel
Rating: NC17
Word count: 43000 ca
Warnings/Spoilers: the backstory implies talking about the American health care system in not exactly positive terms. Also, very peripherally referenced homophobia.
Summary: the rom-com-ish one where Dean hosts a late night radio show, Castiel is a regular listener of his who starts calling one day and ends up calling more often than not and Dean finds himself liking it. This, until one day Castiel calls for not exactly petty reasons (just before Dean's brother Sam is visiting with his girlfriend for spring break) and things get very, very crowdy at his place. He also doesn't know it's just the beginning of it. Also features Gabriel, Chuck, Andy, the Roadhouse crew and a huge amount of music quoted. Especially Bob Dylan.
Disclaimer:: the characters aren't mine, all the songs here referenced are property of their respective writers and the only thing I own here is the plot (yes, yes, not even the title).
A/N (brief version): okay, I just hope this comes across the way I want to. I have enabled anonymous comments if anyone feels more comfortable leaving a comment without signing in, and I will appreciate and take into consideration any kind of feedback, constructive criticism included, also by PM. :)

janie_tangerine: (supernatural future!cas ;___;)
Title: Back Roads Never Carry You Where You Want Them To (or how Chuck Shirley taught an angel how to drive)
Rating: PG
Characters: Chuck, future!Castiel; future!Dean mentioned
Words: 4100
Summary: Then again, Chuck remembers that Dean not using safety belts was never his idea and that Cas here really needs to learn how to drive, Dean won’t be up for teaching anytime soon and no one else has, as people generally have put it until now, time to waste.
Spoilers: for 5x04.
Disclaimer: not mine. Not really.
A/N: this is for [livejournal.com profile] hopelessfangirl just because I can. ;) ♥ ♥ Though well, er, the idea was that it was supposed to be crack or fun and then it turned angst-ish. I guess that I can't make future!Cas fun even if I want to because he makes me cry so. *cough* Using for [livejournal.com profile] sacred_20 #19, writer's choice (fallen). Title from a random Steve Earle song which doesn't have anything to do with this as usual. But I said it already, I can't come up with titles.
A/N 2: I have a love/hate relationship with cars. And driving. It probably shows.

Chuck hadn’t been physically able to say no. )

janie_tangerine: (supernatural dean/castiel)
Mm. Okay. These are like, one total angst and one total crack. No, I can't do the thing in between.

Title: Absolution
Rating: PG13 I guess
Pairing: Dean/Castiel
Words: 1012
Summary: “Bless me, for I have sinned,” he mouths, his voice barely a whisper, as he mirrors Castiel’s position and kneels in front of him, “it’s been… I’ve never confessed before”.
Spoilers: Ideally set after On The Head Of A Pin, even if not really specific spoilers for that one. But it takes that one into account.
Disclaimer: Supernatural is surely not mine and I probably couldn't do it better than they do.
A/N: for [livejournal.com profile] wandersfound who wanted Dean/Castiel and atonement. I'm afraid I got carried away. IDK if a confession done like this is complete blasphemy but I mean, you've seen the pairing. *hides* Also, I couldn't manage to check whether Dean said he ever confessed so if in canon they ever said he did... well, let's just pretend he didn't. Or at least, I checked but couldn't find it.

This? This is sick. Could be the sickest thing Dean ever did, and it’s quite the prize. Probably what would be going to buy him a ticket straight to the pit, if only he wasn’t doing this with a freaking angel of the Lord’s approval. )

Title: God's Ways Are Mysterious And Ineffable (Or How The Prophet Chuck Learned It The Hard Way)
Rating: PG13, utter crack
Characters/Pairing: Chuck, Zachariah, implied Dean/Castiel
Words: 983
Summary: If Chuck Shirley (or better, the prophet Chuck, thank you very much) ever felt mocked by his own writing, well, this time is a winner.
Spoilers: For 4x18, The Monster At The End Of This Book.
Disclaimer: Supernatural is surely not mine and I probably couldn't do it better than they do. Even if at this point this isn't that far from canon.
A/N: for [livejournal.com profile] lasamy who wanted Dean/Castiel and dare. This? Is 100% crack. If you're a devout Catholic, you don't think that God has a sense of humor and likes trashy novels and believe in everything Leviticus says, I strongly advise to skip this one. Also, random abuse of Keith Urban. I actually like him, so that you know.

Chuck almost chokes on his first drink and glares at Zachariah, who has appeared just in front of his computer. Damn, he feels Dean’s pain with the whole angel perched on your shoulder thing. )
